Today i was listening to sky radio (the most popular radio station in Holland) and i heard a thing about you....
Checked the playlists on their website, and i was rather amazed to see that Roxette is played 2 or 3 times a day.... both old and new songs.

EMI renamed their “divisions” in most European countries over the past few months - e.g. EMI Germany or rather EMI Electrola’s now called Capitol Records Germany. There’s now the mothercompany “EMI Recorded Music (Country)” with Capitol and Virgin as subdivisions. At the same time, many or most of the former CEOs, AFAIK including the Dutch one, got fired...

AFAIK: as far as i know
CEO: the head of the company, short for “Chief Executive Officer”
And just in case you want to know why they did this: the main reason for this renaming session was, of course, money... back with Virgin and EMI Netherlands/Spain/whatever, they used to have everything twice in those countries, e.g. when it came to distribution, and each company had to report to the EMI Group in the UK separately. Now both enterprises not only share those things, the CEOs of Capitol and Virgin also have to report to the CEO at EMI Recorded Music of their country and this person’s the link to the UK...
And that way they also managed to have the same company structure in every country and got rid of some people who didn’t make enough money ;-)
Hope you get what I wanted to say, it’s kinda difficult to explain in English...

BTW, according to the latest charts I have, “Fever” was published by “Parlophone/Capitol (EMI)” in Germany, but the album was released before all this renaming happened...

It seems that Sky Radio has dropped ATAY from their playlist already (They played it 2/3 times a day last week and now..zero). Not a very good sign, i’m afraid.
Maybe we could mail Skyradio and ask to change their decision.
On other stations I didn’t hear anything too.

I found out about the air time of the Interactive charts on TMF and voted for ATAY once again.
Why don’t you guys do the same?
Just go on www.tmf.nl => Programmes=>Interactive Charts=> Then type in three current videos startin’ with ATAY

Gewoon even vragen of ze ATAY al draaien en of we hem kunnen aanvragen.

Nee van die stations heb ik nog niets gehoord, maar vergeet radio 2 niet Frits Spits schijnt een fan te zijn van roxette, en tot nog toe heeft hij bijna alles gedraait van Roxette. Ik weet zelfs dat hij WICF zo goed vond dat hijhet nummer tot radio 2 paradeplaat heeft uitgeroepen...... het is toen een week lang 10 keer per dag gedraaid. Zou hij dat ook willen doen met ATAY? Ik hoop het wel.... ik probeer vandaag nog een mailtje aan de redactie te sturen, in de hoop dat ik iets terug hoor....

OK..het is een beetje off-topic, maar jullie hulp is nodig. Doordat roxette.org het niet meer doet, heeft ROXBYTES ook geen server meer, en moeten ze ermee stoppen.
Zijn er hier misschien mensen die FTP-servers kunnen regelen? Alle kleine beetjes(servers) zouden kunnen helpen, maar uiteindelijk hebben we 2 of 3 servers van 700MB nodig. Misschien heeft iemand contacten op een universiteit of werk?
Mail alsjeblieft zo snel mogelijk naar mij. Als je helpt, wordt dat natuurlijk beloond; met bijvoorbeeld zeer zeldzaam video en/of audiomateriaal.

Neither TMF Holland or TMF Belgium have received the videoclip yet. So it seems that there is a total lack of promotion by EMI again. At least in the way of videoclip distribution.

Got an e-mail from EMI NL last week. They said they hoped the airplay and rotation of the video would start this week. Seems all they are doing is ’hoping’.

Well this week there is, again, no chart entrence for Roxette, no top-100, no top 40 and even no tip 30..... It seems most radiostations have already dropped the song out of their playlist. Did the radioplay started too early (at least 4 weeks before the single was out), or did it end too soon..... I don’t know, but it’s a bummer.....

LTYH is new on their playlist! Amazing move. And what a soon start for the airplay of A Thing About You in Holland! (Centre of the Heart started only after the single was officially released.)
