today i downloaded bon jovi’s new album - bounce - and i have to say, they’re over, maybe this album will do good in the charts (but i don’t think so), but for me it’s the end of this band :( sorry, i always liked bon jovi, but not today:(

quick review:

album starts with probably the best song, undivided. it’s good, catchy chorus, maybe similiar to it’s my life... and..... it’s terrbile cos every up tempo song it’s a clone of it’s my life! i heard them few times and i can’t say which song is which - they’re too similiar... and now st about ballads.... heheheh they are craps, clones of thank you for loving me, and nothing else. i can’t differ one ballad from another! i didn’t like crush, but now it’s perfect album! on bounce, there are no songs like these on crush, only clones of those two i mentioned. there are some mid tempos too, but they are soooooo weak :(

sorry to say, bounce is crap, crap, and crap !!!!!!!

have you heard bounce already ? if not, don’t do that :)

Where did you download it from?

Actually I like Crush. It’s obviously different from Slippery When Wet, but I wouldn’t say they are over just because they make different music than fifteen years ago. They still sell WAAAAAAAAY more albums than Roxette, to be honest. They adopted a style that fits the needs of the 21st century. Whether people like it or not? Well, everyone is different. But sales figures show people like it. Well, we all know sales figures don’t really count... Look at the number of Britney albums sold...

Can you tell me a download location so I can listen to the album and say my opinion? Thanks.

Who is Britney? :-DDDDD

That girl who doesn’t know where Australia is...

Anyway, I’ve found the tracks on KaZaA.

@pietro: simply downloaded today from winmx... crush had some good moments, there were great songs (next 100 years, just older, crash and beautiful queen from mars...) but bounce has nothing special.

OK, today I’ve listened to the album.

Jackeill, you are right. All uptempo songs, probably except for song 3, The Distance, are just like “It’s My Life”. They are not bad... but I wuldn’t say they are good. Something is missing from these uptempo songs. Originality, I would say. “Bounce”, for example, was compiled from “It’s My Life” and “One Wild Night”, they only changed the words.

Anyway, most uptempo songs are based on the same scheme. They lack new ideas, I guess. They saw “It’s My Life” made them Number 1 again, after so many years, so they probably decided to make a whole album based on that idea. But it’s just boring.

The best part of the album for me is “The Distance”. It’s an uptempo song, and different from the other ones on the album. It’s interestig and original. Probably won’t be released as a single.

Ballads. I think Jon Bon Jovi should one day realise that his voice is not good enough to sing ballads. There are some power ballads on the album, which would be good, if, again, they differed from all those Bon Jovi-like power pallads we got throughout the years. Boring.

There are a couple of classic ballads on the album, with no electric guitars or heavy drums. Track 8, “Right Side Of Wrong” is completely like Savage Garden’s “Two Beds And A Coffee Machine”, with the only exception that Darren Hayes can sing such ballads, and you enjoy listening to them, while the only result of listening to ballads like that sung by Jon Bon Jovi is that you have to stop the disc because of the headache you got from his voice.

I’m not saying Jon Bon Jovi doesn’t have a voice. Nor believe that Bon Jovi are over. They just shouldn’t try to act as a boyband when over 40. Also, if one song brought them back to the charts, they shouldn’t think that they can fill two albums with it.

@pietro: i listened to whole album today once again... and i’m starting not to hate it that much :) distance is really fine song, i like undivided and also love me back to life.... but i can’t stand those ballads :( btw. there is a song, track 4, joey. words, title, an number remainds me a little of jefferson. what do you think ? :)

I didn’t even know they had a new album let alone a new single. Best download to see if its worth buying. ;) although.....since you guys say its not so good.......any trax you can recomend I try first??

Well, download the songs “Undivided”, “The Distance” - or get the title track, “Bounce” and laugh how they managed to combine “It’s My Life” with “One Wild Night”.

Yea, after listening to the album again, my opinion is not that negative. But I still miss real new songs.

Maybe I need to listen to it again and again a few times. But right now I’m listening to my fav radio station because they have a Def Leppard weekend :-)

@piet - Def Leppard ROCK! :) I personaly like them more than Bon Jovi, have you got they’re new album called X ?? tis kewl! :)

They’re my secound favourite group after the ’Ette ;)

Yea, I have X! It’s brilliant! When I got it, I played it non-stop. What a great album! It’s sounds very fresh and new, yet it’s pure classic rock, from the best kind.

Its just so Leppardized its kewl :) .......I’m so behind in the times.....I sat and watched Coyote Ugly last night for the first time....they were playing “Pour Some Sugar” in that! >:) I nearly fell out of my chair ;)
