Shocking news about Marie

According to Q-Music, who were present at the pressconference of Night of the Proms, Marie passed out in her bathroom and is now lying in hospital.
We of course checked it out and after talking to Alexandra Potvin of Q-Music, we learned that she was supposed to attend the press conference this afternoon, but due to the passing out-thing, she could not be present.
The organisation said it was nothing very serious, so don’t worry!
We wish Marie all the best and will keep you up to date if we hear anything more.

Marie Fredriksson svårt skallskadad
Marie seriously skull/head injured
The singer MF, 44, is seriously injured after an accident. Since last tuesday
she is in Karolinska hospital due to some injuries on her head.
- She is really tired but in a good mood - says her manager Dimberg
The concussion (hitting her head/brain) can last for some weeks.

It was last Tuesday when MF hurt herself when she was home in her villa outside Sthlm

Roxette´s star MF was taken to Karolinska hospital, there the doctors could
state that she was having a serious concussion.
Later at night she was taken to the neurology department in the hospital.
How seriously injured is she?

Yesterday MF was conscious and her manager could talk for a while with her.
How long is she going to lay in hospital?

Dimberg got to know what had happened thru Marie´s husband, Micke, 45.
Micke and Marie met in Australia, at the end of ROxette´s joyride tou. Right
after meeting they got engaged and after a bit more than a year they got
their first baby, Josefin. In 1994 they got marrie.
On Tuesday afternoon Micke phoned Marie´s manager and told her that she was
in hospital.
Last night her brother Sven-Arne was not really informed about what had
happened.
- I am shocked, it came so suddenly. I had not heard anything. Early this
morning he will try to find out more about what happened, he says
- I hope it goes fine.
First tour in 6 years
With Roxette have MF and PG had a great international success in the 80ies
and 90ies. THe band was formed in 86 and they got their international
breakdown with the song The look in 89.
A lot of successful international tours followed, but by the end of the 90s
the success started to descend. Last autumn the band went on another tour,
the 1st one in 6 years.
FACTS:
Age: 44.
Family: Husband Mikael Bolyos, children Josefin, 9, och Oscar, 5.
lives in a house in Djursholm, outside Stockholm.

Bildade tillsammans med Per Gessle Roxette 1986, efter att Per Gessle hade
övertalat henne.
Bandets första album “Pearls of passion” släpptes 1986.
Efter debuten med Roxette gav Marie Fredriksson ut sitt tredje soloalbum “
Efter stormen” 1987, som blev en försäljningssuccé i Sverige.
Det internationella genombrottet för Roxette kom med låten “The look” 1989.
En amerikansk utbytesstudent som varit i Sverige tog med sig skivan “Look
Sharp” hem till USA och fick en radiostation i Minneapolis att spela låten “
The look”.
Låten blev snabbt en hit i USA, och Roxette fick ett amerikanskt
skivkontrakt.
Bland andra världssuccéer finns “I must have been love” från 1990 och “
Joyride” från 1991, som sålde i mer än 10 miljoner exemplar. Strax därefter
åkte Roxette på sin första världsturné.
På senare tid att de samarbetat med Jonas Åkerlund.

With Roxette Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle has enjoyed many international successes during the 80´s and 90´s. The band was formed in 1986 och got their international breakthru with “The Look” in 1989.
Several successfull worldtours followed, but towards the en of the 90´s their popularity cooled of. When the band headed out to tour Europe this fall, it was their first tour in six years.

They have a new material now, and Marie had this terrible event...(only now whe knew that...what a world)...I am also involved with my father in a project over the automation of a foundry. My father burned the hands in the electrical panel of our boss’ house. He asked a favor for my father, if he could go there check what was wrong and that happened.
My father had burnings from 2nd - 3rd grade. Our boss was deeply regret of asking my father, due do the occured. But I joked, saying that every big enterprise has its scars, too. If someday your forget the big thing you did, the scars will be there to remember you...it’s ironic, but it’s a more positive way to see the things, I guess. We had some big obstacles to deliver the service to that foundry, but now everything is done, working well, thank God.
Hopefully this accident is the sign of happiness times to Marie, Per...not-so-sure-things...a pregnancy...a sure thing...the NOTP (well, who knows, now?)...and a eager happy expectation...the new albums...
Anyway, Marie, get well soon...the pain maybe remains, but we hope that the concussion won’t ’cause you any kind of amnesia, so you’ll forget us and all the bright youy brought to us.
