Hits can never explain the potentials of the song

Hies , every1 is worried about ATAY to hit the charts , well hits can never explain the potentials of the song , for example crush on you was at #1 on fm 100 pakistan for a whole month and centre of the heart was the least played song on Fm 100 Pakistan , now centre of the heart did not make up in charts in Pakistan but is the 5th most played song in the world , so charts can never tell about the goodness of a song. And have a nice day was 10001 times better than Brittney Spears useless album but when sales and cahrts were announced in Pakistan , Brittney was on number 4 while ROxette was on number 7.
SO stop worrying about the charts.AT least MTV is not going to promote the song rather they would be busy finding something to CENSOR this video too.

Ummm... I don’t think that’s what habbyandwaf was saying at all. I think the whole point of that post was that really great songs very often DON’T top the charts, and (I’ll expand a bit here with my own thoughts) it has much, much more to do with image and marketing and money than it does with the quality of the song (correct me if I’m wrong, habbyandwaf!).

I totally agree - charts aren’t a true indication of a songs quality and ’greatness’
though for a lot of fans outside europe a big hit (or 2 or 3) worldwide = world tour, so in that sence hits are important

Yes, you’re right: the best proof for that is what happened with “The look”.
If the song is good enough, it will make its way to the top!!
