Some questions about Roxette:
1-Was Fingertips’93 a single? Single of which album?
What was the date of release?
Was Fingertips a single too?
2-Was “Almost Unreal” a single? Single of which album?
Its first appearance was in DBUGTTC,so why was it between the
videos of C!B!B! in DVD?
3-What was the date of releasing IMHBL as a single?
Why wasn’t it in “Dance Passion” or “Joyride”?
When did Per compose it?
4-What is the most successful song of Roxette in the world?
IMHBL or LTYH or joyride or The Look?
5-What is the right pronunciation of the word “Roxette”?
Rakset? or Rokset?
Does it have difference in English and Swedish?

@Pietro: Thank you!
But I still have some questions:
1-It is called “93”,but Tourism was released in 92.
Besides,it’s not in Tourism. How can a song be a single of an album without being in it?
2-Do you know the release date of ALmost Unreal?
Is its video related to the story of the film?
5-Who is Dr. Feelgood?
What is the its usual pronunciation in Europe?
How do you pronounce it?

1. It’s quite common for a song that’s released as the second or a third single from an album to be released slightly modified. Fingertips is on the album but they changed it a little bit and put it as the first track on the single, under the name Fingertips’93 because it was released in 1993. But it’s still from Tourism. Fingertips’93 is on Rarities, but the single is from Tourism, not Rarities.
2. Almost Unreal was released in 1993. The video has two versions: one of them has scenes from the film, the other doesn’t. I have never seen the film because it was a failure and I don’t think it was shown in cinemas. (Or maybe only in a few ones in the States.)
5. Dr. Feelgood is a band that recorded a song called “Roxette” ages ago. Per liked the title, this is where the name of the band comes from. It’s a nice song, by the way.
There is no usual pronounciation of “Roxette” in Europe, because the only two countries in Europe where English is the official langauge are the United Kingdom and Ireland. Everywhere else people speak English only as a second language. I pronounce Roxette as “Rokset”, because I speak British English (or something close to that :-))

2: i’ve seen this movie few times, it’s a crap, with stupid plot and ehh it’s rather a movie for children... AU appears only in the end credits but in a different version... it’s not AU from single, it’s faster i think, i can’t remember. it has guitar intro for sure, not like this one from single...

You have a LOT of questions, hey?! LOL! Arent you lucky to have friends like us? :o)
Anyways, Fingertips ’93 is a REMIX of Fingertips(but no drum beats, etc....just REAL DRUMS....if you havent noticed yet: there are no drums in Fingertips), so they released this very cool version as a single roundabout the MTV unplugged appearance.
Your question about single releases: yes, its NORMAL for bands to release loads of singles after the release....so they normally release 2-6 singles from an album. A 1st single will be released to promote the upcoming album and then after the release they’ll release more singles - say every 3 months or so....
Roxette doesnt mean anything - its just a name of a song - I think the song’s about a girl .... not sure, anyways. Dr Feelgood is an American band if I remember correctly.
And about Almost Unreal: I WANT THE VERSION FROM THE MOVIE!!!!!!
Pietro: PLEEEEZ try and find it for us - it has a guitar intro - like the outro of the song - and then slows down just before Marie starts the 1st verse.... rent the movie at any video store - I live in South Africa, and if I can find it here, you guys can find it wherever you are as well....
Cheers

You can download Roxette from Dr. Feelgood with Kazaa. I have it shared.

I’ve found this:
http://ultimate.roxette.org/albums/mario.jpg
The cover of the soundtrack album. Says it has a bonus song from Roxette.
I’ve just ordered the album, it cost only $4.99 :-)

Hey! You really helped me!
@Pietro:
I couldn’t find the song.
Would you please give the exact Address?
A proposal: Can’t you put it in Roxbytes?
pietROxette said on September 5, 2002 12:13:
I can’t give an exact address. Download it with KaZaA, it’s here on my hard disk.
I won’t put it on RoxBytes because it is an official release and featuring it on the site would be illegal.

@pietro: on the soundtrack you’ve ordered, it is Cinnamon street 2 - by Marie, huh? Or what kind of bonus do they have? :)

roxette if you break down the actualy meanings of the words means female rock. Unfortunately the oractice of releasing singles is becoming less common. Many music companys want to force you to buy the whole album...it’s their way for trying to compete with online music sharing. Fingertips 93 wasn’t originally slated to be a single. It was released in very few areas, mostly scandinavia. ALmost unreal was a single in some countries not in others. The movie being a big flop didn’t help at all.
pietROxette said on September 5, 2002 08:47:
1. Fingertips ’93 was a single, from Tourism. Fingertips wasn’t.
2. Almost Unreal was a single, it was a soundtrack of the film “Super Mario Bros.”
3. IMHBL was released as a single when Pretty Woman hit the cinemas, it was between The Look and Joyride. The song was originally recorded in 1986, under the name: IMHBL - Christmas for the broken hearted, although it was not on the first release of Pearls Of Passion. Dance Passion contained remixes from Pearls Of Passion only.
4. I Think it’s Joyride.
5. Marie and Per pronounce it as “Rokset”. But in the song called “Roxette” from Dr. Feelgood, where the name of the band comes from, they pronounce it more like “Rakset”. But that’s just the difference between US and British English.
