Marie's solo songs into Roxette ones?

Is there any Marie song that could be transformed into a typical Roxette one or at least sound something closer to Roxette?

I’ve only heard a few of Marie’s solo Swedish songs and I love them! I have no idea what she’s saying though - but it’s nice to read the English translations. I would love to hear English versions of her songs. Or else, I’ll have to take up Swedish language lessons.

And the songs in the firs album are really cool, THEY ARE NOT ALL BALLADS!!!!!

I think Maries stuff is so much more grown up stuff compared to Mr. Gessles stuff, his music sounds like, as if he never grows up...
Maries stuff is well written and just so mature, I love all her songs, have got almost all her CD’s and enjoy her stuff so much. No wonder she is the Bomb in Sweden! ;-)
her stuff differs to Roxette’s suff to much.
My absolute fav Roxette song is “Watercolors in the Rain”, and of course this song has been written by Marie!!! ;-) She is just the best that ever happened to Per and the rest of Roxette.

Her material is lot more poetic, lot more artistic. I mean, it doesn’t suffer any commercial pressure...what seems that happen with Per’s ones, ’coz his whole life of hit-writer was oriented like that. If she had some songs (more than just one/album) translated or wrote in English, it would surely give a more glamourous, ’serious’ bright to Roxette’s works. Actually, I think that if they intent to release a whole new album in the future, both Maie and Per should write songs separately and then join what they did. But, of course, they should assign how many Marie’s songs (hopefully more than 2) should fit in the new album. Look at the music for WITR, it’s wonderful!
BTW...changing a bit...who’s the producer for TWATG? I have the feeling that he’s The Man to add Roxette that old rocky hitmaker way...

yeah, Marie has got some seriously amazingly sonwriter skills! WITR has got the most beautiful music I have ever heard, I am not just saying that, most of her songs are so amazing, and I think it is true, if more of her songs would be included on Roxette Albums, Roxette would get more glamourous and be taken much more serious, I mean, why would the world take roxette too serious if they always just sing happy valley bubble gum songs??
Maries stuff is somehow just so much better.

I was actually thinking this last night, when i was listening to her album en tid som var.. so yeh i would love to hear that album in english and also the den standiga resan album.
Actually what i’d really love to see is Marie release an english album with new songs, but i guess that will never happen as if my memory serves me correct, she had trouble writing english lyrics. personally i think if she did happen to release an english album it would do better than Per’s.

No. Because Marie’s style is special. It’s a big difference between her music and Roxette’s music. You can hear immediately when Marie wrote a song for Roxette. It’s different. But you can’t overtake a song of her to a Roxette song.
