Tracklist ATAY sucks big time

Ohhhhh which songs are on the Maxi Single????
Where is that officially stated?

So, to clear things up:
2 track single: A Thing About You/Weight of the World
3 track single: A Thing About You/Weight of the World/ATAY video
Kind of boring yes, I totally agree. :P

As I stated in the comments section on the front page, I will be extremely disappointed if EMI/Roxette only include 3 tracks (1 of which is the enhanced video) for the maxi-single release. Any person with any common sense of good marketing would know that the more previously unreleased tracks included on such a maxi-single release will more so “encourage” people to buy such a release and thus, help further “promote” Roxette. Hey, I think some of us would even settle for an interview. I’m sure there’s much out there that could be included. So why limit it to only 3 tracks?
*shame*
In any case, I guess I’ll wait and see if more is included before I rant too much. ;)

Well, I’m glad you guys agree AND I’m glad that you will buy the single anyway, just like me!
’coz that’s what fans are for, isn’t it?
And maybe the non-fans just don’t know that the same tracks will appear on the upcoming album...

If I remember correctly...
Some markets are only permitted a certain number of tracks on single releases in order to qualify for the sales charts.

what happend to the good old days when you would get 4 or 5 tracks to a single. b-side, demo, new song etc???
Brian said on September 4, 2002 11:52:
I don’t think the track list is going to change at all... think about “The Centre of the heart” only two tracks.... boooring. First they said they would release two single versions, one with a lot of remixes and one with just two songs. Well, the remixes I never saw anywhere at all and couldn’t order it anywhere, and I tried it everywhere!!! So maybe this is going to be the same for a thing about you, that we actually only get to see the boring one, with only two songs, that would be typical for rox...

Putting live songs from the RS tour would be great...
CDS
1. A Thing About You
2. The Weight Of The World (if they really have to release it already)
CDM
1. A Thing About You
2. Waiting For The Rain (Live)
3. Little Girl (Live)
4. The Weight Of The World (Video)

Both “Wish I Could Fly” and “The Center Of The Heart” had *two* CD-single issues, the 2nd one with remixes...
I do hope we´ll see a remix CD this time as well, or even better a Live EP with 3-5 bonus live tracks...

well think about it the album wont be out till october ..giving an idea of what one of the new tracks sounds liek will want us to buy it more hopefully..i am psyched the video will be on it so I dont have to wait for another dvd compuilation lol

I’m also disappointed, for Roxette-fans the maxi isn’t interesting at all. Well, it’s great to have the video, but I think they should have published another unreleased track or - as some others have suggested live songs from Room Service Tour.
It seems like EMI is very successful in doing mistakes...

At leat they could include some live tracks, or remixes, or covers, or acoustic versions, or demos.
Why just 2 tracks? This is so mean
Mfan28179-Jason said on September 5, 2002 03:47:
Wake up EMI! As for a limited number of tracks for certain territories, that’s very true. I think it mostly applies to the UK market. Take the “Wish I Could Fly” 2-CD single set, for example: One had 3 tracks and the other had 4 tracks. So, limits on time/tracks is not the case here. Rather it’s lack of proper marketing. Sometimes I wish I could be in charge of such a position. I just don’t understand why record companies do such things sometimes.
coyboyusa said on September 5, 2002 17:08:
how do you expect a company in the midst of a huge reorganization to be on the ball. Besides they aren’t promoting a new album here...in which case I really wouldn’t spend a huge amount of money on it either. We need to wake up , be thankful they r still recording...if they REALLY wanted to they could called it quits after the hits package the way many bands have

Yes it sucks!
Where is “I was so lucky (The golden blow)”?
It could be in the ATAY single
What is EMI? A group of dunkies?
It would be better not to release an extra EP, and use this 3 new songs for B-sides for the “ATAY” and “Breathe” singles.
the idea to include the ATAY video is very very good, other companies should do this with their singlers.
Where are “Salvation” and “MATAH” videos?
Nice to find them in the ATAY single
EMI don’t take it personal, but... you are pathetic

I wanted it to be
ATAY
Stars live from Globen or a new song

I hate 2 say this, but I think that the single should not contain the same songs as the album. But it does! And that sucks big time: why would I buy the single when the songs are also on the upcoming album?
