Ok, now it is real:
Airplay date is September, 23rd... ))-:
I hate it..20 more days to wait.. )-:

Well, it’s normal that airplay always starts later than the date EMI gives. Only a few radiostations will play ATAY on September 9th.

i recieved a mail of HITRADIO Ö3 (station here in austria with 3 mio. listeners/day) and they said, the didn’t know anything of a new roxette song. WHY?? that’s strange! two weeks before the official airplay-start of wish i could fly in 1999 this radio-station played tracks, jingles and did a countdown... and now? nothing. maybe they thought of THE big great comeback in ’99 and pushed because of this WICF... time and things have changed.

Joyrider hit the nail on the head (just a U.S. expression?). WICF was supposed to be the big INTERNATIONAL (including the U.S.) comeback single.
The date ATAY will be serviced to radio (by EMI Sweden) remains unchanged. It’s possible, however, that an individual EMI operating company may choose to delay it in “their” country for some particular marketing reason.

L-E-O: what did you change in Joyriders message?????
EDITOR’S NOTE: Just deleted an extraneous word. Would appreciate it if everyone understands TDR has a policy against the use of vulgar language, and certain words, although used quite commonly these days, are still considered vulgar by some. Almost everyone seems willing to understand this when it’s brought to their attention. Thanks.

@LEO: Do you know for sure that the airdate for Sweden wasn’t changed, too? I don’t want to get my hopes up too high... *dyingtolistentoATAY*
And BTW, no, “to hit the nail on the head” is not just a U.S. expression! :-) We have exactly the same saying in Germany...

@ Starrox... As a regular reader of The Daily Roxette, you must know by now that we, as a newspaper, and I personally as a reporter, take a certain amount of pride in reporting and publishing only accurate information. Or, to answer your question directly, YES, it’s “for sure.” ;-)
Starrox said on September 4, 2002 09:17:
@LEO: *g* Well, of course I do know, that’s exactly why I asked you - I’m kinda suspicious when it comes to EMI/Capitol Records and release dates - wonder where that comes from? ;-)

I don´t know what can I think.
Some Radio-station in Germany sad September 23th and other sad September 9th.
Nobody know the date true, this worry.
What is true? Have the Radio-Stations different dates for the Airplay?

ARG, I just got an e-mail from a Swiss radio station. They don’t care about it, they wrote that they don’t know the exact date, and that I should write to EMI Switzerland... Great, isn’t it??? :/

Mixmegapol.com on monday morning (swedish radio)
Ö3 on 13rd - Austrian radio
Spain - who knows ;)
Guess it will just be on Swedish radio stations on monday, and later next week on others.
