i would like to know, if you like darren hayes new single STRANGE REALTIONSHIP!? some friends of mine, said that they have already listen to roxette’s new single (because i told them, that rox will come up with a new single). yesterday we went by car and on the radio this song was played and they where shocked cause i didn’t push the volume button...
i like this song very much and now my finally question: do you think this song is again roxettish and do you like this single?

Great song - probably my 2nd favorite on his album. I love the arrangement. I was hoping it would get promoted in the U.S. but Sony must have given up after “Insatiable.”

Hmmm, never really like savage garden (thought them a bit pathetic). The way i heard it was that darren hayes was basically ’just’ a singer while his partner (daniel is it??) actually wrote all the songs, then one day darren decided he wanted a solo carrier and told the press before his partner (that part i know for sure), says a lot about him i think...

it was not the best choice as a follow up single here in the states....he’s had a harsh time with sony who still won’t admit they really weren’t interested in promoting him as a solo artists to begin with> His drastic change in appearance didn’t help either, neither does the crappy video or the fact that the whole album is prodouce and arranger by walter anifastaff....whom i didn’t much enjoy when he prodouced affirmation despite it being a great album. the remix to this single suck to hell and high water.....we probably won’t hear from him again unless SG get back together

@coyboyusa: The USA didn’t even get a second single yet, let alone Strange relationship! AFAIK they decided to remix I miss you and release it sometime later this year - but with Darren being on tour in Australia (BTW, he just had to postpone some gigs right after the very first(!) concert since he was diagnosed with viral laryngitis and isn’t allowed to sing or speak for one week), parts of Europe, Asia and Mexico til the end of the year, I honestly wouldn’t count on it...

Well, I think Darren’s album is great, I just don’t understand why “Insatiable” was chosen as the first single. Compared with the other album tracks it’s one of the weaker songs in my opinion, there are so many better songs on the record. “Strange Relationship” is fine I think and here in Germany it got a lot of airplay, but hasn’t entered the sales chartes so far. It seems like Darren gets small pieces of success only in Australia and the UK; unfortunately I think that his future as musician won’t be bright, so it’s solo career is basically over before it started!
I don’t think “Strange Relationship” is roxettish, btw. Did I get right, Joyrider, your friends thought SR was the new Roxette-single? LOL! A strange thought in my opinion because Darren’s voice is neither similar to Marie’s nor Per’s!

Personally I think Crush is great - out as the latest single in Aus so may be it will hit the UK shores after Strange Relationship.
Seeing the concert in October - should be good (now waiting for the negative comments to fly!!)

I love that Song ....it’s the only one on Darrens album that is worth listening to ,,,all the others are a crap for me sorry...
And maybe this one could be a roxettish song but it’s hard to imagine them doing it....
