Push comes to the shove

hies , can anyone please help me know what does ’push comes to the shove’ means? Like in what’s she like there is this sentence ’ so what’s she like when the push comes to the shove?’

It sounds like: What’s she like, when she’s having an orgasm ... maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think so, because it fits that song ;)

What’s she like is one of my all time fave songs, I love it ;)

Haha, so it seems i am not the only naughty one taking it as it stands :) Just like Nefatari, I think it describes making love, push comes to shove, when her partner is increasing the thrusts as their excitement is growing. :)

I LOVE this suggestive song damn much! :)

How do I explain,..... ummm

It isn’t sexual at all.

It means

What is she like when it really comes down to it?

When push comes to shove = When in a situation you really have to go one way or not at all.

errr.. what does HE KILLED MY AMP AND FENDER means?????????

AMP - amplifier
FENDER - fender guitar ???

good explanation kixBE :)

n what does KIX means?

You can write KICKS in a trendy way: KIX

when push comes to shove: when the situation becomes critical... when it’s no longer good enough just to push... you have to push with force (shove). “Ingrid didn’t think she could get her assignment done in time, but when push came to shove, she met the deadline.” John’s answer puts this in context to the lyrics of the song.

All that you love
All that you need
You came in for KIX

that means KIX ;-)

kix is a breakfast cereal in america

yeah I couldn’t think of how to explain it ... you just grow up kinda knowing what it means. alot of expressions like this in English for some reason.

now:

“tie the cover to the ground” ?????
“working so hard on your demand” ?????

In spanish...:

“When push comes to shove” = “Cuando el deseo apremia”

it’s like in ganaké leo meo....?!?!?!?!

another roxette laguage?!?!

@misteryman00: it was “Ingana Ke leo leo” which basically means nothing since Per used this thingy to remember the rythm of the song then they decided that it sounds kool so they ended up adding this to the song.

Funny how they play around with words and languages and we all love ’em without even bothering to know what they mean. It shows how much we LOVE Roxette don’t u know think?

Zee

Yeah, always wanted to know whatta hell “tie the cover to the ground” meant. Never could translate.

You’re working so hard on your demand = (probably)

1. Work hard when you only want (are forced) to.
2. Work hard to fit your requests in life.

i think that everybody may have own opinion bout what means these sentences —and thats good bout Per’s lyrics–LEO perfectly described the meaning ....... but you can use the same words to describe what Nefatari and gyllene_tjej write about..;-))

thanks a lot for all the help

and what about SING-LA-LE-DAH in HAPPY TOGETHER?
