Fan's hating and complaining keeps going on...

This is amazing! This seems to never have an end...people waste their time so dramatically hating and expressing distaste about what? Album titles? Videos? Per being too much too much that?
Aukerlund now??? Amazing ....the only band in the world who has been for that last 16 years being honored by their music and not about “celebrity” stuff or personal life issues that are not of anyone interess (or should not be) is now being “attacked” by their own fans who claim to “just being expressing opinions freely without hurting no one” who now find hard to enjoy minimal anything that comes out from Roxette now no matter what song, single, album, look, cover, title, etc ...everything is now a reason for “demonstration” .... people now “cry tear of insatisfaction” about their so called “favorite band” umm quite ironic....

This silly state of view will cary as the brand new “Roxette reality” ...until when? Until fans see them being #1 again all over the place...until they see people interested in them again as if time could turn back time 10 years again...until fans keep on having an “illusion” of their band being FAMOUS again as if they have been been sucsessful... as that was somehow really important now ...not even for Roxette themselves...they have been around for such a long time they have no reasons to keep proving if they are good or not ...they are good and that’s it! Why all the desapointment? I still listen to them ...not to the charts.... i still like them as always not to what others have to say of ofensive and hurtful about them stupdily....don’t you?

Where are those few fans who just purely live their lives surrounded by the magic and importance of their music without being so concerned about “apperance and seemings”?

Where are those who enjoy themselves listening and watching a Rox video even if it seem bad but that can have a laugh out of it just for fun?

Where are those fans who supported Roxette over the years trully and honestly?

Do you know the meaning of “criticism”?

Apart from this,
Freedom of speech is the most iomprtant thing in newspaper.Even in an e-newspaper.

Don’t forget:
Complaining is an important part of human nature.

Why should we always say : “They are the best” , “They are great” ,
“This album is really great” ?????

Roxette is not perfect and we are the fans of this imperfect band.
If they were perfect,I wouldn’t be their fan!

I think what Heart means is the way of criticism. What is going here is not NORMAL criticism. And that is exactly MY opinion.
Sometimes I wonder why I am still reading in here. And I think to myself: if Marie or Per read this topics what woudl they think about their fans? They have to be ashamed of some of them..sorry, but that is it.

Have you read all the threads and comments in here? There is NOTHING but critisicm.

The bottom line though, is that this type of thing is common sense for most of us. Of course there are also many people with a cynical view of life that always end up complaining about everything (even the good things, like Roxette). The ironic thing is that I don’t think most of these people will ever change because they simply don’t want to. So, if you like to criticize nearly everything Roxette does, then maybe you should ask yourself if you shouldn’t find another favorite band... because all of this unwarranted negativity is simply bringing the rest of us down.

Here’s a little suggestion... next time you’re thinking about blasting Rox, sit down and think about the joy that all of their great music has brought you. Then, truly ask yourself why you are criticizing and what it will change if you continue. The answer... nothing! Per & Marie will do what they think best and that’s the way it should be! None of your whining & complaining will even come close to changing that.

Yes, other forums are much more friendly (and opinions are exchanged the different way - again - the question of attitude). In one German forum I read about Roxette:”our sweet Swedes”... It made my heart melt...
By the way: I wish them success with ATAY (not only). Not because I want no1 badly (but I wouldn’t mind), but because they deserve it. If it doesn’t happen, I won’t die. It’s not the point. I’m simply happy about the new stuff.
That’s my PERSONAL OPINION and I’m not going to force it here or make people change their own opinions.
That’s all.

I do also critizice others not because they don’t like it but because they treat Roxette’s music like shit and that is unfair and i personally find it hipocritical from those people ...after all aren’t they Roxette fans as well?

I do wrong complaining about others but worse than that is to see people complaining not once in a while that’s the normality but 20-4-7 per day about everything litle thing that comes out... no one (90%) of us here are never juts never happy about anything...that isn’t normal criticism that is being trully unrespectable towards Rox music ... it makes me wonder why the hell they loved them once and now they tend to hate them (or something like that)
....

I’d like so much to see a much more enthusiatic view on Rox’s music here....keep the clever and fair criticism that is important but do not overstep into destruction or angryness... otherwise we will all turn this into drama unnecessary... i don’t wanna do that why should we? Is it fun?

We see nothing wrong with comments that could be called “constructive criticism.” I myself absolutely hated the HAND cover design, and made no secret about that. And “got hit by a truck” is, in my mind, the worst moment in Rox lyric history. Those are two examples of negative comments I’ve made. Someone could think the exact opposite... that the HAND cover was brilliant design work, and that “truck” was pure songwriting genius. Sure, it’s good to have a balance between being positive and negative... but I don’t agree that it’s fundamentally wrong to have a negative opinion about something.

What IS WRONG is when we don’t treat each other’s opinions with respect. We need to try to be more civil towards each other here. It’s OK to say “I disagree with you.” It’s NOT OK to say “you’re stupid to think that way.”

P.S. Yes, nice to see Vixzter again!

one person didn’t like one track of their new ep... and the other fans just saying “I agree ’cos of this” or “i don’t agree ’cos of that” etc...
a mature disccussion with no whining from both parts...
