great idea. Sarah McLachlan (anyone knows her) released a great great remix album...too bad we’re talking about Roxette here!

Yeah, and people complain about Roxette releasing old material... Sarah’s had two live albums, two remix albums, AND a rarities compilation in her career, and only four real albums! Sarah McLachlan is a great artist but they play her songs to DEATH on Canadian radio and I’d be happy if she never came back from her five years-and-counting hiatus...

Canada rocks the world. Too bad North American music sucks.

Y-E-S!
Definitely!
And the remixers do not have to be that famous since mixes of the “best” DJ’s are usually very risky (meaning expensive) and they turn out to be quite lame (Todd Terry on WICF was not very insuring, as you know).
The songs could just be at about 4 minutes long so no one would get bored and the disc wouldn’t run out of time after the 9th track. :)
& one thing’s for sure: Crush On You will be released as the much-talked-about Almighty remix. At least I am looking forward to THAT!

Groove Armada, Timo Maas, Naid, April tears, Ferry Corsten or Basement Jaxx ... do you really expect those people to do a remix for Roxette? What else are you dreaming of, honey?

Damien: You DO realise that you included Canada in your statement, correct?

Wouldn’t it be really cool if the PopPeas tracks would be remixed? I was wondering how The Big L-2002 remix would sound.
For example “Dangerous” sounds sooo old-fashioned! If PopPeas isn’t a low-priced CD nobody will buy it. Because if you like the old songs you could already buy it on several (compilation) albums or download it very easily on the internet.
Otherwise you’ll hear them more than enough on the radio.
Why not give it a Groove Armada, Timo Maas, Naid, April tears, Ferry Corsten or Basement Jaxx remix, for example? If they let it done very well, they’ll gain the younger generation of music-listeners. And we as fans would really be excited and buy the album. I don’t mean the dull remixes they usually do as singles b-sides. But really edgy, funky, cool, sexy, hip, experimental mixes? Something so cool that nobody would expect from the good old friendly and dull Swedish duo.
What do you think?
Can we persuade Mr Gessle and EMI?
Can we held a remix contest?
I’m really looking forward to hear your opinions.
It worked for ABBA and Mel C. And Mr Brian Adams also isn’t afraid of a mix.
Tell me your opinions.......
