New song from Kent! (non-Rox)

Hey peeps,
I was just listening to NRJ Stockholm over the net and heard “Karleken Vantar” by Kent. Let me say that I’ve downloaded a lot of songs by Kent and like most of them. But this song totally kicks ass! I think it’s their best ever! Anyone heard their entire new album? Is it all this good?

Vapen och Ammunition is my favourite album lately. I listen to it whenever I can. Kärleken väntar for me it’s the best song, even better than “Dom andra”, but any song could be a number one in any country. Try “Elite”, “Sundance kid”, “Sverige” or “FF” (with some lines sung in French).
By the way... have you seen the video?

I agree!!! Kent is AMAZING! They are now my #3 band after Depeche Mode & Roxette. Their latest album its this years best cd. Favourite songs; “Pärlor”, “Dom Andra”, “Duett”, “Kärleken Väntar” & “FF”.

I was in Virgin Times Square Megastore yesterday... not far from the spot where Roxette performed... in the Imports section, and I said to the friend I was with... “that’s Swedish! Listen, they’re singing in Swedish!” (refering to the music being played over the store’s speaker system). When I went to investigate what it was that was being played, I discovered it was Kent... and the song was “Sverige”!!

I believe it’s one of their worst ever, the new album sucks,, though are the 4 old ones all masterpieces!

The albums you should buy instead of “Vapen & Ammunition”
1. Hagnesta Hill (1999)
2. Kent (1995)
3 Verkligen (1996)
4. Isola (1997)

Advice to all of you , the odl ones are better,
better melodies, better lyrics, nicier production...

Hey Lars-Erik, that’s pretty cool that you heard Kent in that record store. I don’t even visit record stores here any more because everything I buy is over the internet now. Well, except for when I’m Sweden of course:) When I was there last November, those record store clerks thought I was crazy buying all of those Swedish CD’s. I was just thinking... “man, if this stuff was available back home, I wouldn’t have been able to afford this trip”!

I got the “Vapen & Ammunition”- CD today. I had already downloaded the songs before but I liked them so much that I just had to get the “real thing”. Maybe I should buy the other CD’s from Kent soon...

Hej, I just saw on CDON.com that their new CD is copy protected. Does that mean it won’t play on PC’s? If not, they just lost a sale. I listen to about 90% of my music over my PC’s and will NOT buy a CD I can only use 10% of the time. Do you hear this you stupid-ass record companies! You’re losing sales with your ridiculous shcemes! Cause guess what, if this CD is not playable on my PC’s, I’ll just download the songs over the internet. (bunch of freakin losers)
Heck, at this rate, it will only take 7 or 8 more of these situations, and I’ll have saved enough money for the 120GB hard drive I’ve been wanting!

@PerFanatic: Actually you should be able to play it on a PC even tough it’s copy protected since it says this on the back of the CD:
“This product is copy protected. It is intended for use only in standard CD audio players and may not play on other devices. The music contained on this disc is playable on PC’s by software also contained on the disc. [...]”

V&A is playable in my PC..:)
But I have the newest album of Nightwish which is also copy-protected and it doesn’t work in my computer.. so there must be some differences between the protections.

I have all Kent albums - excluding the English ones and I really think that the latest is the best ever. the former ones sound quite the same and are little depressive.
temps-daurats said on August 28, 2002 20:07:
I have them too, and I agree with you. They are very sad. And this album’s just brilliant, great!!!!!
And about the English tracks... the words do not really match the melody. I don’t want to hear: “It seeeeeeeems that looooooooooooooooooooooooooooove is waiting”. Neeeeej tack, snälla!! C’mon....

That song is from their latest album “Vapen & Ammunition”.. and this album is soooooo great!!!! It’s still my favourite, though I bought it about a month ago.. I think you should definitely have this CD if you like Kent..! :)
