The real sad thing is that very few decision are actually in the hands of AOB. They don’t have their hands on the production. The entire album was remixed by Modern Talking and No Angels producers, to make it sound trendy. Hope the sound isn’t that cheap.

The song has been played a lot in both Austria and Germany but still hasn’t reached here Portugal saddly at least not yet....
And the video hasn’t been aiplayed on TV we have to wait a bit....

About Ace of Base, their so-long delays in the albums launchings and the problems with their former main singer (the blonde Linn Berggren) have been the most important problems the band has faced, but the companies (Arista/BMG) haven´t helped either with their control over the band, production, songs... etc.
It´s not easy to explain why their leading singer, unexpectedly, doesn´t sing any song, doesn´t want to appear on promotional performances, videos or interviews.... and the leading vocals go to the former background-singer of the band: Jenny Berggren.
I think AoB have had many wonderful songs, lyrically are better than Roxette because they use to talk about serious stuff in many songs: the youth, the searching for a better world in peace, the runaway teenage problem, and that possitive feeling about carpe diem and so.

Why is it so hard to explain why the former Leading singer doesn’t sing anymore??? Because a fan tried to kill her and almost suceeded. That’s why. Understandable and easy to explain I think. ;-)
The brunet, (is her name jenny?) is prettier anyway and has got the better voice.
Ace of Base don’t really have any saying about their own stuff anymore, they can’t even decide what songs should be on there album....
this all to me is really sad, as AoB became huge with their own stuff, they did it all themselves but now, as so many guys interfere in their music (teeny bands producers, other songwriters... even per himself) they are not successful anymore. So if AoB is going back to their roots, it would be good, as long they didn’t keep the same sound, as this is 10 years old now...

Brian— believe me, Jenny was the attacked one, she has told in some interviews that experiencience made her stronger... Linn´s problems may be because of her voice problems- after the album one- she´s not so strong or self-confident... and because of other reasons she has never talked about and we don´t know.

btw, for some fans who complianed bout this thread ...i have to say in ace of base message board u can see lots of threads bout Rox too ...so i think its not a prob to see a thread on AOB in Rox forum...

I agree... Ace of Base is fantastic: Wheel of fortune, All that she wants, Living in Danger, The Sign, Beautiful Life, Lucky Love, Life is a Flower, Dr. Sun.... so many good songs... Da Capo will be even better, some journalists that have heard the new record told that was the best stuff ever don by the Aces!.

This thing with the females in AoB sounds eerily like something that happened to another great Swedish band about 20 years ago (not wanting the spotlight anymore). Let’s hope the end result is not the same!
I still think that if it were not for Agnetha’s trepadations, there would have been an ABBA reunion for Y2K. What an awesome event that would have been...

Ulf (Buddha) has said “Beautiful Morning” doesn´t really reflect the album as a whole, and the record although has a pop sound as well, it´s more edgier and dance-influenced— it think it sounds really promising!
