Why allow off-topic threads?

i know that in a forum you could post a topic almost about anything, but if it is a forum about a band why the hell should we allow post things about another groups specially those close-to-shit groups? Please, I love this forum and I AM a huge fan of roxette but, again, why the hell should i mind my language when the discussions are off topic?

Well... if for no other reason, you should mind your language because we’ve asked you to. Our newspaper... our rules. True... it’s also our desire that SmallTalk contain “Roxette discussions” only... but we don’t currently consider that to be a guideline more than a “rule.” Thanks for your cooperation (and hopefully understanding).
