Thanks!
We were working for 9 months, it’s seems we gave birth :-P

Good one! Altough I completely disagree with some of the ratings and comments to songs... but that’s only becasue we are different, we can’t have the same opinions about all Roxette songs.
But it’s nice to see all releases together.
joyrider said on July 20, 2002 14:29:
finally a roxette site with a great design! looks like you’ve worked for years :)
Sascha said on July 20, 2002 17:07:
Well designed site! But I don’t agree with your song ratings. Think you should delete it, opinions are too different...
steven said on July 20, 2002 20:32:
I agree with Sascha...
I’m a fan of all Jorge’s work, he’s superb with design and graphics, but those comments on some of the songs are a bit degrading...
...and the site is supposed to be about promoting Roxette afterall.
BTW: Jorge will Ask Roxer ever have a new design? It’s been some time now eh?
Take care.
jorgerox said on July 21, 2002 01:34:
Well... we didn’t want to add all “nice” comments for all the songs because that would give less creability to the site and we gave less ratings for the songs that don’t sound as “Roxette”.
Anyway, don’t worry we will add something were all people will can add their own opinions ;-)

The comments on ur site are unfair - ridiculous even! Quiero ser como tu is NOT badly translated - it has different lyrics...apparently very nice lyrics..... correct me if Im wrong, but the chorus (translated in2 English) goes sumthin like this: “I want to be like you, just like you”..... or sumthing like that..... AND the list goes on and on.... u seem to have a knack for slagging some of their best songs off, and prefer the cheesy roxette stuff. Not a great way of “promoting” them. Guys in2 hard rock/American rock WOULD NOT like Real Sugar, etc. eventho’ “we” classify it as rock. BTW, I Takes You No Time To Get Here is my fave track on Room Service. Strangely enough it “doesnt fit” according to you....I know, shouldve been on the Dawsons Creek soundtrack. Cheers.
Brian said on July 22, 2002 12:38:
I am sorry I do not like this site. The comments were boring and not professional. You can tell that it is just someones opinion... without giving credit to details of the song... is the Spanish translation really that bad? I bet not as bad as your English on that site!!!
And how come, soul deep gets a higher rating on Joyride than pearls of Passion!!! I am sorry, it looks to me like, some kids had the Idea to do some Roxette stuff and put it on the web...
there is so much to be improved.... your site sucks!
but I guess there is always time to improve... ;-)
joyrider said on July 22, 2002 12:54:
soul deep on joyride is an other version than on pearls of passion, don’t you know that!? oh sorry, i’ve forgotten, your speciality is roxette-stuff, which doesn’t excist until now...
Brian said on July 22, 2002 13:01:
that is stupid, it is not a different version...
why does it say in the Joyride Booklet it is written in 86 or so.. per and Marie even said themselves, that the original version of Soul Deep is included on Joyride....
alchemiste said on July 22, 2002 13:25:
Of course it´s a different version, it has been re-recorded in 1990 ...
Brian said on July 22, 2002 13:50:
Guys I am sorry!!! You were right, it is a different version! I just listened to both versions, I am sorry about the stupid comment I made... about that. It just never caught my attention before, I guess because soul deep was always one of the songs I did not really like and I never liked listening to soul deep...
sorry again...

the spanish translations *DO* suck.... of course the lyrics can´t be exactly the same in the 2 languages, the translation has to be done following the rythm of the song, changing words/sentences here and there, but from this to what that guy Escolar did... some of them have nothing to do with the original song! Besides, some sentences have no meaning in Spanish, we don´t say stuff like that, not in formal nor in “slang” Spanish.. it simply has no meaning at all.. It´s a pity cuz Marie´s voice is super in that album, but I get sick and ashamed everytime I hear Marie sing those stupid lyrics!! (and if somebody can understand this better is a Spanish-speaking person.. as Jorge is..)

Quiero ser como tu // I want to be like you
All I lived I owe it to you
I don´t know why
What I felt, I felt it for you. I dont know why
I had 1000 choices in my life but I always wanted to be like you
Chorus:
I want to be like you, same as you, not better not worse, just same as you
I want to be like you, same as you, I need to cross your sea, swim till you are
All I saw, I learnt it from you, i don´t know why
What I can remember, it reminds me of you, i dont know why.
[chorus]
This is worse that Britney Spears!!!
This “I dont know” kills me, as the chorus! and believe me, this read in Spanish SUCKS; sounds like one of those poems you write whem you are 10 years old for school, when you have no clue what a poem is and you just write it not to get a bad mark for not doing it!!
jorgerox said on July 22, 2002 16:44:
Brian, sure! the spanish lyrics kick ass! (mmm... Luis Escolar’s ass?)
Just read the lyrics of “Soy una mujer” and you will see how stupid are all womans only because they are womans :-D
Isn’t that art?
And sorry for our bad english but it isn’t our primary language, but Escolar’s primary language is spanish.
Judith, your are right! Marie’s voice in the album is super!
BTW, as I said I am trying to find a way to let guests add comments for each album and there you will can add your own comments and tell everybody what do you think about them.
