I stuck to Roxette again. Most probably for good.

About Bryan Adams... I think he’s just a shadow of himself.
His new album sucks great deal! He used to make excellent music! Summer Of 69, Run To You, Kids Wanna Rock, or the whole Waking Up The Neighbours album... all superb stuff. But his new album... I downloaded it, listened to it and I’m sure I’m not gonna buy that one. It’s very poor.

Roxette also used to b my fave for some years, I was kind of just listening to them, but in 96 i realised that there was a big world out there to explore, i guess “falling” for Eva Dahlgrens music made me realise that Rox were not all in the music world, and I started to listen to other stuff, more and more by the years, finding real pearls out there that I had ignored “thx” to my rox crazyness, and this, together with the low quality of Rox music lately, made me less crazy about them, see that they are not what they once used to be and just enjoy the music I like, that make me shiver, that touch my soul (where Rox latest music has no room) whoever it comes from.
Some of the artists (yes, a lot are swedish and also quite lots of queers :P): Melissa Etheridge, Eskobar, Kent, Tomas Ledin, Patrik Isaksson, Bryan Adams, Michelle Mallone Tracy Chapman, Indigo Girls, Alanis, Suede, .... and of course Eva Dahlgren.
Of course, my Rox collection still means a lot to me and I wont get ridd of any item, I guess it´s more for all the memories it involves.

Hey Jackeill, you are right that there are a lot of other artists that are very good. And the internet helps us quite a lot today to find new talents. If I wrote their names down, there would be at least twenty of them which I really love to listen to at the moment. But to be honest, I will have forgotten most of them in one or two years. There are only a few artists/bands that have influenced me through a longer period of my life, e.g. Tom Petty. But Roxette is still my all time favourite! True, there were times when I hardly listened to any rox-music. However, if I take one of their albums (and it doesn´t matter which one) and I listen to it then I feel like “home”. Hard to explain, but their music has ever been a part of my life and will certainly always be. And I am glad about every single new song, since they are in their fourties, have families and wouldn´t have to work at all anymore. They are on another level for me. It´s not just their music, it´s their behaviour, their way of life, their kindness, their personality. What can I say: I´m a fan!

Yeah! Hope of listening to an album like C!B!B! in future.Per and Marie are not dead.They are alive and healthy and can create great songs.Just wait and be hopefull.

They’d been doing great solo things... but when it was time to work in Roxette.... something got really wrong in HAND and RS.... hope that’s gonna be fixed

I’ve been like that for 12 years now :P and not even HAND changed my mind ;) The only way that I find other artists better is the way their record comapnies deal with them......I’ll point out Bryan Adams as one.....coz he is still releasing stuff.....which sometimes isn’t so fantastic but he gets the support of the record company to do so.

I just think you can’t come down on it so heavily or compare it with Wakin’ up the neighbours... Coming back to “better artists than Roxette” discussion... i don’t think it is really true, there might be some more popular ones, agreeed, but they are all shaped up by their record companies to be even more profitable!
And Roxette develops, they reached all they could in their career. Some of you claim their lyrics sux. I don’t think it is true you have to read between the lines more.I had such discussion with my friend before and we agreed Per is kinda too old to sing bout falling in love for the first time or such. well, just MHO again :)

bryan adams has his record label by the balls and literally owns their publishing firm. The simple fact is emi and roxette have a BUSINESS relationship, one that for the most part is pretty simple, you record it we’ll put it out, in terriroties where you sell and whrere it wont be TOOO EXPENSIVE for us to promote you. BAck in 92 roxette got ALOT of free promotion that emi had nothing to do with , thats how they got exposed. Nowadays, its very obvious that like bryan adams and even bon jovi roxette are a niche artist, few new fans are seen here, although i blame that more on the content of the posts than the actual lack of interest, their music is now for the fans, in a way thats all it should be

If you don;t like roxette music , you can listen to the sweetness in Marie’s voice , read the lyrics or watch the sad or funny videos that Roxette made , and let me tell you roxette is the only band that has made very good videos except some 3 or 4 , if you look at other metallic band videos , you may will feel vomitting.
So the thing is that everyone does his best to make his work popular and we shall respect it , ok?
then groups are not quantities that are to be compared.
and if someone lacks something , may be he has got another excellent ability too..

there much more greater bands and artists and... i’m sure you can’t stand all rox changes so... do you know band which is better then rox nowadays? don’t list here bands which aren’t similiar... just bands which play music which rox used to play.
so here they are:
1| Nine Days - great powerpop band which is st like roxette form cbb times mixed with bryan adams. however new album is in a little bit hard rock style but it makes i love ND more...
2| Bryan Adams - yes this guy is changing also but... his music still is great, there are no shitty electronic sounds and these crappy poppy drums like rox used to use. Bryan rox, his new album is... slow but great !
some indie artists:
the fags, colony, ultimate fakebook ... all is gesslish powerpop with some great ballads...
sorry rox... you were the best! internet makes me find a lot of great bands and i cannot stop it.
however TWATG rules :)
