I used to be really obsessed with Madonna a few years back and went on a shopping craze. Then came my obsession with Roxette which I’m still riding and seems will never quit! But, that’s okay. ;)

Do you reckon if I posted topics about Roxette on the Madonna forum I’d be shot down in flames?? worth a try just to see the reaction ;P

I’ve been looking for the Madonna - Everybody (’81) song for the past month and I can’t find it on any of the MP3 programmes thatI’m registered in, all the others you need a credit card...
Could anyone else here who has it send it to me?
I would post this on the Madonnarama but I think they banned me for no reason
Can someone check it out - go to: http://www.madonnarama.com and tell me if a forum section comes up... coz it doesn’t on mine
Please can you the song to [email protected] or [email protected] ???

Say what you want about Madonna, but remember that no law forces anyone to buy her CDs and videos – which certainly is not the case with the taxes you pay, which your government merely confiscates upon threat of jail. No regulations restrict competition with Madonna – which certainly is not the case for the US Postal Service and other government-run “enterprises.” Madonna personally funds her own health care costs and retirement plan – which certainly is not the case for politicians everywhere on Earth, who merely loot from the public whatever money they want, always feathering their own nests first. Madonna doesn’t whine and squeal to the government for special treatment – which certainly isn’t the case for all the weakling-losers in the world always demanding more and more from the public trough.
Madonna, whether you like her music/persona or not, is an exemplary free-market capitalist, a self-reliant productive achiever who fully deserves to be as wealthy as she is. Get off your derriere, go and do likewise. You may not achieve her level of success, but your life will definitely be more prosperous from the effort.
(Oh – and before you start mewing how “unfair” it is for folks such as public school teachers to be paid so much less than Madonna, just remember that governments set the salaries of teachers, while free-market consumers determine Madonna’s product prices. Whenever the government muddles in the economy, you can be absolutely sure that somebody will be unhappy and something will be unfair.)

when will you learn that untalented b*tch is not a singer. She´s a wannabe.

When will you learn that its our right to listen to whoever we want to?

Is it just me whose noticing the alarming likeness between Bjork and Madonna since 1993? (That is, Madonna becoming more like Bjork... or “ripping her off” I should say).
I would continue... but I’m afraid I’d start getting flammed.... :(
vaxjoe said on November 29, 2004 05:49:
Roxhard: Dont worry you’ll get used to it (eventually) :p
So what exactly do you mean about Bjork and Maddy?
RoxHard said on November 30, 2004 00:46:
Well... I’ve said it on some other forums, and I’ve been burned like hell for saying it... so, HERE I GO! ;-)
1993: Bjork works with Nellie Hooper and Dallas Austin for her “Debut” album.
1994: Madonna works with those same people on her “Bedtime Stories” album, there are also rumours that Maddie originally wanted Bjork to write the whole album for her, but Bjork refused - and wrote 1 song “as a favour to Nellie”. This song became the title track...
1997: Bjork not so much invents, but “christens” the whole “full-orchestra’s mixed with huge-beats” sound on her Homogenic album.
1998: Madonna drops Frozen (think of it as a commercial “Joga”)... AND EVERYONE WETS THEIR PANTS OVER IT!
2001: Bjork works with french duo M/M to create her Vespertine album sleeve.
2003: Madonna works with french duo M/M to create her American Life album sleeve.
Coincidences? Make up your own mind on that one...
;-)
RoxHard said on November 30, 2004 00:50:
Oh, and then there’s the whole thing about how much does Madonna actually does on her own albums... (the sound of her albums seems to come very much from the other producers own back-catalogue)...
Listen to Ray Of Light, and you’ll hear a tonne of William Orbit’s solo stuff being used...
Listen to Music or American Life, and you’ll hear a tonne of Mirwei’s solo stuff being used...
Has anyone ever heard a Mirweis solo track? It’s uncanny....
Invisible_man said on November 8, 2008 23:07:
I can’t believe people still go to her concerts to see her old bony ass.... sorry but she should really start dressing her age, and not wear those sexy outfits, in which she looks bad
Her recent Urban-dance stuff is pretty bad, and her doing duets with Timberlake and Britney is bad too. And her producers sampling Abba in one of her hits, that’s lame, learn to get your own melodies!
I was never a big fan of hers, nothing special, except maybe for songs “Like a prayer” and “True Blue” and some others mostly from the 80’s. But even those were not that great
