Yesterday Gessle confirmed this in Swedish Radio P4 “Efter 3”:
New Ballad with new material this autumn..... new single....
New Up tempo compilation next spring...... new single....
They are going to work in the studio in september....
nothing completly new but still

At www.cede.ch (A online CD store in Switzerland) you can already pre-order the Ballad CD for release on November 15th with the title “Ballad Hits”. That sounds like old stuff, but i think it will include also some new ones like on DBUGTTC, at least a new single!

OK, the ballad CD will be a collection with “partially new material, including a new single plus video”. The uptempo collection will be the same. The new material is to be recorded in September.

But isn’t EMI the reason for these new compilations? Didn’t Per say he didn’t feel comfortable with releasing and promoting an album of all new studio material because of current turmoil at EMI? That may explain these “filler” albums to come before the new big release. I still think a “rarties” or “live” album would be more appropriate.

Can’t Roxette never make their mind up! I’ve read officially news and confirmation that a new Roxette album would come up soon and that either Roxette or Gyllene Tider would hit the road in short Swedishtour this summer. Per also said that he have Have anyone seen any of that? Cuz I haven’t.
If Roxette’ll release this compilations I won’t feel ashamed to download the new material as a moral protest

I think ya all is so boring!! I mean.. COME ON!! So we probably will have to by two records with material we already have, but let’s not complain and draw conclutions before we have seen how many new songs this albums will have and what old songs it will include.
Because if I were Per or Marie and I read all this complaints before people even knew what was coming up, then I’d get pritty bored and perhaps I would say that it does not matter what I do, ’cos they donät like it anyway. I’m not saying that we should love everything roxette does just because we are fans, but that we should wait and see what happens before we say it’s gonna be crap.
As for Roxette not getting the promotion they deserve... I think they get just as much promotion as they want. I really donät think that neither Per or Marie really wants to be as successful as they were with Joyride one more time. Haven’t it wrossed your mind that they maybe want to harvest the fruits of that success now? That is... take it easy and do things their own way, when they want to do it. I’m sure that they could get a decent recorddeal in the U.S any day if they set their minds to it...
That’s my opinion... argue with me if you like...

What you write is just halfright. I can agree with you that Roxette maybe wants to sit back and just enjoy their wave of fame they have behind. But then the wave should BE behind them - they shouln’t HIDE behind it. Cuz that is just what they do if some old hits that everybody already have (with exception for the youngest fans maybe) needs to make the album sellable. Then Roxette will be one of the bunch commercial groups as BSB, Westlife and Britney for example.
@: Mari that who wondered about where I have read about the summertour is my answer that I aren’t really sure. I think it was in the Aftonbladet (swedish newspaper) and I’m rather sure that it was some newsinformer from EMI that told about the tour. Yippie I thought - a concert with Per and company this summer.
That’s MY opinion... keep argue if you think I’m wrong or agree if you do that...

Frodi, I know what you mean. I read also some time ago in Aftonbladet or Expressen that there’s gonna be summerconcerts. First I was happy, but then I realize that those newspapers write rumours after rumours. If it isn’t confirmed by Emi, is just a rumour.
