........ about 30 times, I can’t stop please help me someone I’m hooked.

I think both Sheena and Gimme Gimme are pretty poor songs. I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend is great, superb, I love it.
The other two are better not to mention.

have a happy listening!!!! It is same here, actually I am killing my stereo with all 3 gorgeous Ramones covers! Bunny rules! My fave must be, like Jackeill’s Shock treatment though!
@pietro: why do you think these songs are poor??? At least you should be happy with the guitars in the last one, we have been moaning bout guitars for ages :))) And bunny’s voice has it all!!! YUMMY!!!!
Jackeill said on June 19, 2002 10:50:
@pietROxette : hey i like gimme.... this guitar riff is awsome :). i only don’t like sheena......
roxchurch said on June 19, 2002 10:59:
I agree with Pietro...
I like “boyfriend”,”gimme” is beter then “sheena”.. but not good enough...
pietROxette said on June 19, 2002 11:07:
Guitars in Sheena?
Some acoustic strings...
Bunny’s voice? Sheeeeeeeeena is, sheeeeeeeeena is... punk punk, a punk rocker... ah yeeeea yeeeea
I hate when Per is singing this way.
Gimme gimme has guitars, true, however, it lacks originality. It’s a bit, hmmm... poor. Also, same thing, I don’t like the way Per sings it. “I wanna wanna shock-treatment” He can do better.
gyllene_tjej said on June 19, 2002 11:24:
LOL I just pictured YOU singing this instead of bunny ;-)SO funny! ( was it after a hard night, maybe shock treatment is needed? *just teasing, ok?*)
Maybe you are right it is a bit too slow and boring for guys but for me it is just fine, and I really think his voice fits! After all he had the right to rearrange this song and not just copy the original, which I appreciate. *so romantic, sigh*
And yes, ST with guitars makes it bloody marvellous! It will soon be worn out in my stereo ;-)

Gimme Gimme is better that Sheena for sure ;) Sheena is one of them songs for ppls that like Per ballads ;)
Sanna said on June 19, 2002 17:32:
I think Sheena is better than Gimme..., though I like more Per’s uptempo songs.

okej, here i am. ;o) sheena’s brilliant i think. but i also like the other two covers pretty much. something nice while we wait for new rox thingies.
CRIZ said on June 19, 2002 18:47:
you can kill me...but I found all 3 songs pretty boring after a few listenings. The lyrics are so simple ...even more simple than Per’s have ever been. They sound like Per recorded them in sort of a hurry ...No masterpieces. Of course I love his soft voice...as usual :))))) He could sing the telephone book to me....:) but I’ve heard better songs. I’m happy that it’s only RAMONES covers and not songs written by Per.
anyway...something to consume in the horrible break....
CRIZ said on June 19, 2002 19:12:
Raisa..you don’t know the original hmmm??
Well okay..it’s a matter of taste...I sort of love it...if I forget about the original one....*headbanging*
Vixzter said on June 19, 2002 19:41:
@CRIZ - yup they do get boring after a while, I think I’d rather have the Rox version of Stupid but ahwell....these 3 trax will keep me entertained for a while.
pietROxette said on June 19, 2002 21:10:
F*CK! I’ve just downloaded the original verison of Sheena Is A Punk Rocker, performed by The Ramones. It’s AWESOME! It rocks! Way better than Bunny’s hmm hmm not-so-nice try.
Get the song from KaZaA (Vix, it’s KaZaA, not ’karza’), and compare it!
gyllene_tjej said on June 19, 2002 21:29:
I agree the original is kewl! BUT I don’t think you can compare the songs using same criteria, as they’re way different, and the cover WAS supposed to sound different...coz it was meant to be a ballad.
So, I can’t really agree saying the original is better/worse, it is different.
How would you rate Boyfriend then? Here I think Bunny’s version is better ( not only as it is HIS ;-)), Ramone’s is good but sounds emotionless...the singer voice conveys no enthusiasm whatsoever, while it should be a big thing - as the title suggests.

Good job, Irv!
Well, yea, IWBYB is much better when performed by Gessle.

Gyllene_tjej honey..yeah I agree...Boyfriend got better thru Per! Sounds much fresher. But also the original songs are no masterpieces.(Lyricswise) That’s what I meant. :) If I take Per’s version of Sheena and accept it like it is...than I love it!!!!! I love his voice. I always did. But maybe the idea to make a ballad out of it wasn’t that clever! :) Just a thought!
..where is my violin..I wanna make a cover of “highway to hell”“....just kidding...>:)
