Everybody has a special song that is part of a special moment in your life. To all the fans Roxette songs are very special, but is the song of your life a Roxette song?

I think Watercolours in the rain it suits with my life as well, really well...
Close2U said on June 6, 2002 12:47:
Well, Shoalinda....actually I like many, many popsongs. As long as they are not to guitar based or to techno based, or to dramatic, or to boring....which always make me end up with Roxette.
It’s not only rox that I listen to. But its amazing how their music covers a lot of what I look for in music...
But the song of my life...is not especially a rox song. But I remember I once said (just for fun) to my girlsfriend that I want “Go to sleep” to be played at my own funeral. Ever since, when I listen to GTS....it almost makes me cry...(well, not really, but you know what I mean...).

’Almost Unreal’ is special to me. It’s the song that I first heard, and the one that brought my ex-boyfriend and I together. We are not a couple anymore, but we are as close as you can get without ’squishy’ noises! :) It still means a lot to us.
’I don’t wanna get hurt’ the chorus sums up the way I feel in my life! :(
’Go to sleep’, like Close2U, I would like this played at my funeral... well, the chorus at least.
Close2U said on June 6, 2002 13:54:
Okay, Stendigaresan...maybe they can bury us together! But until that time...let’s have happy life’s.
You also mentioned “I don’t wanna get hurt”...oh, my god....this song is soooo....GOOD!!! It still would make a huge single. This song can easily compete with “must have been”.
Both songs are so sensitive. And talking about sensitive: “I was so lucky”.
Allright, I could go on and on, but leave it for the time being.

WATERCOLOURS IN THE RAIN is, in my opinion, the BEST song ever written by Per, Marie or anyone.
It has so much feeling in it, such great strings, the lyrics always hit the mark. It never sounds out-of-date it is timeless.
’...like watercolours i the rain’ - lyrically superb!
shaolinda said on June 6, 2002 15:52:
Close2U you have a very good taste, all the songs that you named are good songs I like them all, By the way I like almos all the Roxette Ballads. The first song I heard from Roxette was Listen to your Heart, that makes this song special to me but the music of my life is “Things will never be the same”. I think the lirycs are so great, it really touchs me.

Hi Shaolinda,
like the most replays, i have many Rox-Songs that suit to me and my life. But mostly i think its “Surrender” from the early “Pearls of Passion” Album. Since more than 15 Years i am a huge fan of Roxette and collected nearly every CD. So it´s very normal, that there are many many songs, that suits to several situations in life. :)
With best regards
Sandra
shaolinda said on June 6, 2002 16:06:
Yes Sandra... Surrender is a great song and the early Pearls of Passion is a great album in my opinion. There is another song from this album that is extremelly beautiful, “The Call of the Wild”.
Saudações

Yes, that´s right, too. Pearls of Passion and Tourism are my favourite Albums. And Room Service isn´t to bad. But what´s your meaning about Have a nice day? There are great songs too, but imho this Album isn´t “Roxette-like”, you know?
It is not typically for them.
best wishes
Sandra

Well, there are two songs-of-my-life
1. (not ROX, but PG) - wish you the best
2. Roxette - Fading Like A Flower (perfectly describes the state I’m in now)
and maybe one more - I don’t want to get hurt...
These songs have so special meaning for me... My life without them would be different now.
rezmad said on June 8, 2002 07:06:
Listen To Your Heart has always seemed to be the one that holds a special meaning to me.
Hard to describe why, it’s sort of reminds me of goodtimes, yet now is better, and I suppose just the title is something of a instruction to me, yet not one I have always followed when I should have.
shaolinda said on June 8, 2002 13:46:
Well Sandra, Have a Nice Day is not my favourite album, It sounds like Roxette trying to be Madonna to me, too much techno. My favourite one is Crash Boom Bang, looks like a lot with Joyride and the lyrics are better, more romantic, sensitive and inteligent, Don’t you think? Room Service, I think the could be better than this. :)
shaolinda said on June 8, 2002 13:51:
Love is all is a beautiful song, I understand how you feel Wendy :)

Hm, my favourit ist Toursim and - of course - Pearls of Passion!! ;) But, IMHO RS is much more Roxette-Like as e.g. Crash Boom Bang or Joyride.
But in general, i think everybody have a different favourit Album. You can not say This ist the best! Becaus tastes are different !! ;)

FLAF is my favorite and also “song of my life”.
I’m sure that no one even Per can write and make such a song again.
It’s end of pop music for me and give me so much energy.
MrsJaxs said on June 10, 2002 11:36:
;) Now, u can hit me, but imho FLAF is too comercial ... even like LTYH.
I am still a fan of the “hidden” hits of Roxette. Like Surrender, Cooper, Paint, Half a shadow ... and so on.
daniel_alv said on June 10, 2002 14:01:
of course..... but I don’t have one.... I have many.... but one of my favorites is Almost unreal demo..... that version of that song is so great
Roxoholic said on June 10, 2002 15:31:
Almost every Roxette song is based on my life. I can mention a few: Listen To Your Heart, I Don´t Want To Get Hurt, It Must Have Been Love, Queen Of Rain, From One Heart To Another, Crazy About You, Almost Unreal, Salvation, Waiting For The Rain, Seduce Me, The Voice. I can go on forever...
Yashar said on June 10, 2002 19:54:
@Mrsjax: YES,I’ve decided to hit you!
But if you like Paint, reply to my topic about it.
shaolinda said on June 10, 2002 20:09:
With a list like that I can see that you are a very romantic person Roxoholic. Well I will not hit you MrsJaxs, I respect your opinion, but I don’t agree with it... I like the songs you mentioned as well, specially those ones that says more to you if you read it between the lines, like Paint.
gyllene_tjej said on June 10, 2002 20:21:
I am also kinda fed up with the hit singles, all these big songs like SMT FLAF LTYH etc. I like the songs which never became popular. I don’t want to get hurt is one of them
MrsJaxs said on June 11, 2002 08:27:
Sorry, but i like the “big” songs too, but ... i don´t think that these are mediate the real meaning of Roxette. This, imho, you will finde in above mentioned songs, which aren´t so “big”.
But this is only MY opinion !!
roxchurch said on June 11, 2002 09:37:
Good choice Roxoholic!!!
I just want to add –Here comes the weekend!!!!
shaolinda said on June 11, 2002 20:27:
Ok MrsJaxs... :) That’s the good thing about being a Roxette fan, they make very diferent songs, and they can touch very diferent people like you and me.... :)
MrsJaxs said on June 11, 2002 20:47:
That´s it! :):) But often, when you talk with people about music and especially Roxette, they are very suprised about the fact, that Roxette is still alive. This people only knew songs like FLAF, LTYH or TL an thought, Roxette is dead. That´s very very pitty ... :(( But WE know that they are still there, isn´t it? ;);)

No, the song of my life must be by Shania Twain: ’From this moment on’. Because an Irish female singer sung this amazing song on my wedding, while my wife and I signed the Wedding Certificate. It ws truly amazing and still today when I hear this song, it could make me cry... ;-)
dan-rox said on March 7, 2003 13:30:
dangerous, it made me ” turn ” to adult, until that song i listened child songs, from this time always rox, je je.

Shaolinda: Yes, I´m a very romantic person. I have just fell in love with one of my best friends so now I listen to “A Thing About You”, “Crush On You” constatly, and also “Opportuntity Nox” hits an electric room in me.
roxchurch: Yes, “Here Comes The Weekend” is a great song. What do you think of adding “The Rain” to the list?
david77 said on March 7, 2003 16:31:
Hi everybody!
There are lots of Roxette songs I enjoy listening to but Church of your Heart I think is one of the best. I also enjoy listening to It takes you no time to get here.

One “song of my life” is Crazy about you.
Simply because it helped me out of a really bad situation!
I heard it probably more than a thousand times!

Actually, there are several Roxette songs that reflect my life. Too many to name in fact. It all depends on the situations.
