THEY'RE SHUTTING DOWN AUDIOGALAXY!!!

That idiotic freak Eminem has won the court battle against AudioGalxy & now the RIAA are shutting it down! How the hell can this be? I love AudioGalxy, it’s where I got almost 200 MP3s and I heard a rumour going around that the RIAA can hack into your computer & destroy all your MP3 files! I’ve cleaverly hidden all my MP3 files from their direct location so hopefully that will help. If anyone here has AudioGalaxy accounts I’d advise you to do teh same! If you want to do something about it go to http://www.boycott-Riaa.com and have your say about the high CD prices & the general bad crap that goes on with copyright and so on. Please do it. Music is a gift from God... it doesn’t belong to anyone and the RIAA have no right to do what they’re doing!

Shit. I HATE EMINEM! Such a jerk. Well, I hate RIAA too.
However, I seriously doubt they can hack my computer and delete my mp3s. And I’m sure they wouldn’t do such a thing for several reasons
1) logging into someone else’s computer and modifying any thata there is a crime
2) how would they know if those mp3s are downloaded ones or extracts from a CD I bought in a record store - or maybe soundfiles resulting from pay and legal downloads

What pisses me off is the so called copy-protection of CDs. Which means, I can’t play audio CDs with my computer, only with desktop audio CD players and discmans.
So what shall I now do with my portable mp3 player? Throw it away because of some idiots? I can’t use it cause more and more new CDs are being released as copy protected ones so I can’t play them with computer - so I can’t make mp3 files.
Shit case.

hehe fuck him.

and what’s that 200 songs ? i downloaded 14 gb of songs from AG :)

i’ll miss ag :((((

If you check any artists page you’ll see the shutting down process is complete - everything’s copyrighted! Well, I have some consolation! I’ve still got some 40 songs in my satellite que & they all seem to be downloading pretty fine! Well, I’ll sleep better tonight knowing I’ll still be able to make that Marie Fredriksson solo CD I was talking about before!

I don’t know. Earlier almost all popular atrists were disabled, but then downloads from them were turned on. Now, if you type Roxette you see that for example, Sleeping In My Car is available, while Joyride isn’t. Werid.

eminem is a loser wigger

Hey Peitro, I read where some that those copyright protected CD’s don’t work as well as they thought, someone found out all you have to do is stick some tape on some part of the cd and the protection is no more. Can’t remember where on the CD you put it though. Theres probably a website with more info about it. :-)

Yea, I heard it. There was an article about that on a local portal site here. Unfortunately the manufacturers have relaised that and worked out a safer method :-/

Have you tried “Morpheus”? I also found “Sheena is a Punkrocker” there!

Try it!

Morpheus Sucks.
Kazaa is currently the best p2p programme.

Thanks. Do you think they’d take away every artists songs from AudioGalxy or just the songs which are in America. Seeing as Roxette have no connection with America it is not American copyrighted - so does that mean their songs will remain? Coz I want to make a copy of the ’Demos & Spices’ album but I’m getting worried now!

PS: I think Morpheus is too slow & unstable... I used to have an account there but I got rid of it as it sometimes took almost 2hrs for 1 song! And if you lost stability there you’d end up with nothing! I’ve also tried WinMX but that took too long to search! I entered ’Madonna’ in the search box and I was waiting almost 5 minutes and not 1 songs came up! I’ll try that Kaazalite.com website you suggested - but I think nothing will ever some close to AudioGalxy - 14 million users, easy seach engine, if a song got to #66 in ’66 the chances are you’d be able to find it there!
