Adverse of many fans can think, LIVE-ISM DVD is not a bootleg or pirated DVD. Here in Brazil the major studios are selling the rights of titles which themselves have no currently interests to release it, to independent companies for a limited-time distribution. The independent companies pays only for the rights, getting the master tapes and needing to create the artwork of covers and disc authoring. Many times the original tapes are the same from Laser Discs, and we think this is the same case for LIVE-ISM, due to DVD has some Japanese subtitles
during the dialogues. But we would like to suggest to whom it may concern: please contact EMI yourselves to confirm if this release is official or not in Brazil. We are a legally video company since 1988, selling only original products.
Please feel free to contact us for any comments or questions.
Best regards,

Thanx for your comments. it makes a bit more clear.
So questions :) : - are DVDs copies from VHS or copies from LDs? - it depends on quality.
Do you plan to release more rare & anticipated Rox DVDs like Look Sharp Live! and Crash! Boom! Live! ? How do you get 5.1 sound on your DVDs - who remastered original tracks? and finaly - can you post in internet a 10sec sample so that we can decide - if quality is worth getting DVDs.
Thanx a lot - waiting for ya answers.

Hello,
The LIVE ISM DVD was mastered from the original LD master.
More titles from Roxette and other artists (CYNDI LAUPER Live in Paris DVD was released today) depending on commercial negotiations beetween independent companies and major studios. Keep in touch at our site or sign up our free newsletter to keep informed about new titles.
We are plan to post small videos at our website, please verify then news at www.dvdbrazil.com – but we don’t know if these short videos will give the real quality appearance, because they requires large size files to keep the quality. Please send us our suggestions.
Thanks,

Yes, DVDBrazil - plz release Crash! Boom! Live! - the best Roxette Live very hard to get on LD.
As for a Sweden Live DVD (Look Sharp Sweden Tour, Norrkoping 1988) - too many people contacted me for this two days - so I think on making DVD copies or 3 CDR copies of this megashow.

I’m still not truly convinced, why use the Japanese LD master? There’s a perfectly good US NTSC master without subtitles.

I’ve got the concert on a VideoCD. It was an import from Japan. The concert was released on VideoCD.

I’m not going to buy the DVD. The VideoCD quality is very good, I don’t think the DVD is much better. And also I’m not sure if this is really an official release. We have always our news about Roxette (or -related) and there was never a word about a Live-ism DVD, but if you say it’s official I believe you of course.
I’d be happy if they’d release “Live-ism” and “Crash!Boom!Live!” DVD’s worldwide, not only in Brazil or other single countries. But on the other hand, I think, now it’s too late. Nobody releases in 2002 a concert of 1991 or 1995! I think we’ll wait again until the first DVD including a live concert of Roxette will be released. They had a great possibility to release the Stockholm gig last year, but I don’t know why they didn’t do it !!!
It makes me maaaahhhh...

if it wasn’t for the japanese subtitles (i think someone said) i would get it my self.
As far as releasing old concerts on DVD, i don’t see why they can’t. I’m pretty sure i’ve seen some ads for some bands releasing old concert vids on DVD.
kibkalo said on May 31, 2002 10:51:
RobS - Japaneese subtitles are only on that four dehind the scene 2-minute moments, don’t worry - they don’t translate songs to japaneese :)

This is just a bootleg.
At last someone is risking to sell it.
I have Live-ISM & Sweden Live DVDs made from LDs - this one I am sure is also an LD copy.
They say it has a 5.1 sound - but its a fake or just a home-made mix of original track, coz that time there was nothing better then stereo!
