What can you expect of “the worst song of the year” contest?
I only can applaud the Slovenian boys - girls ;). They were adorable.

hmmm... Malta were GREAT.
Wierd that the UK did as well as they did, she has a great voice, but the song was sooo boring!
Poor Denmark.... ;)

Hi! I don’t like Latvian song. I think France had a good one. I’m very sorry that Denmark didn’t get more points. I liked that song. I’m form Croatia and I think our singer did a great performance, but I don’t really like the song.

Switzerland, Sweden, France, Denmark and Finland are talking about getting OUT of the whole Eurovision system. Cos it’s certainly NOT about a SONG contest.
Now I am also convinced that neighbouring countries give each other points (Cyprus - Greece, and especially all the Balkans) so it’s NEVER fair play and it’s not about what it should be!
Now, did anyone like FINLAND’s song...? It’s not that I am Finnish but the song and the lady were sooo coool! There were many predictions that the song would go high in the TOP 5 (press - not just Finnish; fans - not just Finns) but what happened?
It was #20....Our greatest song ever! :(
Maybe she just should’ve taken her clothes off and have Finland situated around Balkan - Turkey!
Sigh!!

UK was great...I thought that it was a very good song. Most of the other songs knew that they were less than good, shall I say, and so went down the route of ’oh, let’s bring in the drag queens’ blah blah blah.
Jessica Garlick made goose pimples stand up on my back! She was soo good.
I also thought that the woman who sang for france was so much like the awful celine dion (my opinion only - before I get flamed!)
Malta was very good to, and the song that won was no way the best song, but it was a good performance and very catchy!

@animalkingdom i really liked that song, she had the same hairdo as me
ausie said on May 27, 2002 20:41:
personal I think that we should go back that each country sings in his own language and second that we vote for the quality of the songs and not looking to neighbours country’s if we keep going up like this the whole contest is losing his magic and will disapear.

France and Switzerland were great. Malta - dressed for success - or rather: undressed. Latvia - a catchy tune and a funny performance. Lithuania was shy and somehow sweet. And I liked Romania’s song. Germany’s singer should have gained more votes as well. All in all, the contest was good and its ’level’ was really high - in comparison to last year. But I didn’t like the woman hosting the show - sooooooo artificial !

@animalkingdom:i agree on what u say about the points exchanging but u re unfair. it wasnt only Greece-Cyprus and the Balcans. It was also Scandinavians countries and Baltic countries that give each other the highest points and the proof is that the contest for so long is help up in the north either in scandinavia or the baltic, never in the southern europe, the balcans ....or even in turkey and cyprus....so now from estonia to latvia ...what a surprise...
ps:i live in Greece and i loved finlands song which i voted for ...that so i wont go down on flames again :)
kisses from greece to finland (very special to me for seceral reasons)
vaxjoe said on May 28, 2002 12:32:
@ausie: yeah its the best that each country can sing in its own language but if we go back there u know what will happen...uk and ireland will be winning again most of the time :(
Vixzter said on May 28, 2002 16:31:
Oh my god....you guys really do take this seriously don’t you.
The whole thing is about politics not about who has the best song!!!
Its about 1 country not wanting to upset their neighbour...... or subtle hints like.....the French singing in French ....when the majority of the other nations sang in English!!
Good one France.....we know what you’re getting at ;) didn’t get you anywhere though did it?! ;)
Appart from that.....a totaly fair and unbiased music contest based on pure talent and fantastic song writting. ;P
vaxjoe said on May 28, 2002 16:36:
@vixter:not really but its one of the things that bring us together so we have to talk bout something we re interested in common
vaxjoe said on May 28, 2002 16:43:
