Ok, so I’ve been having a lot of critisism on www.roxette.co.za. If there is anybody out there who’d like to say what the website requires, or needs to get rid of, tell it here. I know a lot of you don’t like the website, but now’s your chance to say what you would like on the website.

my only issue is the cover page graphics r well i dunno childish otherwise what a great site..its a good basics site

>It needs a brand new, funky, hip, trendy, cool design/layout. the website at the moment looks like some 12yo’s attempt to learn Paintshop in the early 90’s.<

>Use a design prgm like Photoshop, with a cut up/optimization tool like Macromedia Fireworks....and then to put it all 2getha: Macromedia Dreamweaver<

>U need to make it happening - forum, news, wallpapers, etc<

>Mail me some time if u want more help: [email protected]<

I’ve put up the new look. Tell me what you think! [email protected]

Egmond...

I’m no expert, but here are the 3 elements that I try to consider when making a new site:

1. Colours - Experiement with a colour scheme and stick with it. Don’t go crazy and use ALL the colours of the rainbow. Usually 2-3 colours will give you a good theme. The trick is to find colours that compliment each other.

2. Content - What’s your angle? What is your target audience? The best site’s are the ones that can spot a gap in the market and serve it well.

3. Browsers - Arrrghhhhh! So many bloody browsers!!! Each of which display sites in different ways. The best sites are the ones which can present their design in the same way REGARDLESS of the type of browser being used. This is quite tricky for the beginner.

Stick with it dude... your latest design is far better than the previous effort and thats the best way to learn... Keep on making new sites... Good luck :)

I’m not a critic but it looks sweet! :)

Thank you to all who contributed so far! Things are surely changing over at rox sa!
