Why wasn't "Harleys & Indians" a single???
juneafternoon said on May 11, 2002 05:58:
I mean...HAVE YOU HEARD THE DAMN SONG??!!!!
IT’S FREAKING AWESOME!!!!
I do need to relax...
Hey what is this crap about “Spun”?
Akerlund should NOT put Rox in that film.
I think its offensive.
But that’s just me.
Any remix or anything about the topic-song???

I have a Red-skinned Remix of Harleys & Indians (Riders in the Sky)
It was on Roxette Remixed 2 - Argentinian bootleg
animalkingdom said on May 11, 2002 14:31:
That remix’s gotta be some cheap amateur mix. Why else wouldn’t they have released the remix?
juneafternoon said on May 11, 2002 20:19:
Ammm...excuse me.
Remix?
Was it ever official??
More important: IS IT ANY GOOD?????
And why wasn’t it a single,damn it????
gyllene_tjej said on May 12, 2002 10:48:
hmmm...strange, even as a major Gessle freak, I am not particularly keen on that song...

H&I was indeed intended to be the 4th single off of CBB, but was scratched due to some unknown reason. (Roxette probably needed a well-deserved break, or it interfered with the forthcoming album work...). Anyways, the song was remixed, BUT the versions out are amateur mixes and not the original ones. :(
animalkingdom said on May 12, 2002 17:12:
@ tevensso
It doesn’t make any sense...Why did they then release Run To You as the 4th single? And even after this they put out the FIFTH single, Vulnerable...
I never heard H&I was supposed to be a single - how do you know?
animalkingdom said on May 12, 2002 17:15:
By the way, they were on tour since September 94 till May 95 or so, and the 4th single was out in late 94 (not even a possibility for a break). And there was no new album on the way - 1999 was the first time since they put out a long player since Crash!
juneafternoon said on May 13, 2002 01:19:
Then maybe I should make H&I a single.
It is absolutely awesome.
And...are the remixes any good???
Markuz said on May 13, 2002 02:18:
@animalkingdom: I remember that the first pressings of CBB had a sticker on the cover that said: “Includes the hit singles Sleeping in my car, Harleys and Indians and....” so I guess Tevensso is right.
@juneafternoon: the remixes on the internet are terrible, VERY amateurish. don’t waste your time downloading that sh*t.
AntiMario said on May 13, 2002 06:02:
Those amateur argentinian mixes are a picece of cake to make in any WAV redactor, they simply prolonged intros/added refren echoes/mixed 2 different versions of the songs together.
Not even any dancebeat added at background.
I especially angry about that shitty Church Of Your Heart which they called AC Mix. Has nothing similar with the original mix.
I think finally H&I found their place as YDUM B-Side.
tevensso (moderator) said on May 13, 2002 08:11:
Well, 5th single then (can’t remember all their singles off the bat). The UK LP sleeve clearly states H&I being single material. and Per has also mentioned the remixes somewhere.
And my reasons for not putting out the single was a joke... duh. They are the standard reasons for Roxette not doing something.
animalkingdom said on May 13, 2002 13:54:
Well duh to yourself. OK, it was supposed to be a single...You just confused me a bit but it’s alright, ok? :)
animalkingdom said on May 13, 2002 18:02:
I don’t think they should have released it as a single...The guitars are too much alike with the ones in Fireworks. Or then again, maybe they should have skipped Fireworks...
btw, Have I already stated that What’s She Like would’ve done so much better than Vulnerable - at least on radio waves...
gyllene_tjej said on May 13, 2002 19:07:
whatr’s she like might have done better than Vulnerable if Per sang it as on the demo version :)
sweet_stalker57 said on May 13, 2002 22:15:
yeah Still far!!!! :)
that song licks sweaty convict nuts.....
the first time I heard it I couldn’t stop laughing
thinking about the words that would piss off so
many American Indians like RED SKIN.
and what about “while Marlon’s on his way”
does he mean Marlon is gonna kick the bucket any
day now? ;)
how many Rox fans actually even ride motorcycles?
everyone just likes it cause it is a Rox song.
PerAndren said on May 14, 2002 16:29:
Well, I believe the song is kinda awful...
Not very good riff,, and awful lyrics,,,, She Doesn’t Live Here Anymore and most Gyllene songs are better examples of Gessle guitar-pop
coyboyusa said on May 16, 2002 16:56:
actually i remebr asking what song from cbb should have been like a bonus video to the hits package almost everyone said whats she like I rember it was the only ballad on the album that usa critics gave some praise
vaxjoe said on May 16, 2002 17:28:
i think they should have released a double a side single with HARLEYS & INDIANS/I LOVE THE SOUND OF CRASHING GUITARS!!!
those two songs are a package? those who agree raise your hands! ;-)
sleepingSingle said on May 16, 2002 20:19:
@ vaxjoe: a double a side single is a very good idea!!!
I think they should release Fool / Stupid as a double single next. (what a stupid fool *lol*)
By the way, do you come from växjö in sweden? I will spend my holliday there this year...
