Quite sad how deep Roxette have fallen. This Nokia Night of the Proms thing is definitely the most embarrassing event all over Europe. Only almost dead once-upon-a-time-some-kind-of-stars-people perform there. Aaarghh. A real waste of time. Time Roxette could use much more useful.

I think this is a very smart move for Roxette... this event sounds classy and well-attended, and will expose a whole new audience to Roxette’s music. Just think... three hundred thousand people that might not have gone to a Roxette concert. If they play their cards right, they can capitalise on this exposure and sell tonnes of copies of the new “Ballads” compilation... I think this is just the sort of break they’ve been hoping for. Ironically, I think most modern pop music doesn’t lend itself well to this kind of treatment - but Roxette write melodies and are used to arranging their songs to be played live with real instruments... they’re just about perfect for this kind of thing (I mean, could you see N’Sync being invited to do this?). Very cool news.
