Faithless & Robbie- why not then Roxette &....

Hi, I was thinking; given that Faithless made a duo with Robbie Williams, although the kind of music they usually sing has nothing in common, it turned out to be quite good and quite a success. What would you all suggest could be a good combination for Roxette to make a cooperation with? Maybe Roxette & Depeche Mode? I mean, why not? Different styles, but both make very melodious songs, and it would be very interesting to hear such a combination!?

I really would like Roxette to do a song with an other singer/band. Their image is a bit dusty at the moment, so may be some colaboration would fresh them up a bit and make people think of them as cool again. If I was in their management I would advice them to do so. But I’m not so all I can do is wait...and hope. Depeche Mode is a good idea by the way.

Ne znam zasto svi porede Depeche Mode sa Roxette. Oni meni deluju kao dva totalno razlicita sveta. Cak mislim da Roxette nisu bas “za duo” sa nekim. Posebno ne sa nekom drugom grupom.

nah, no depech mode, but K’s Choice and starring in the videoclip Alyson Hanigan (aka Willow in buffy)
that would be heaven,

srdjan (my co-countryman), why don’t you listen to the song “I Want You” Roxette made back in, I think, 1987 with Ratata and Eva Dalghen, and see how 4 voices can fit in togeteher excellently? BTW, I am not comparing Roxette with D&M, I just said that the songs of both of them are melodious, nothing else. And I do think that Dave’s and Marie’s voice would sound perfectly together

Everytime I listen to TCOTH I think of William Orbit, so why shouldn’t Roxette do a song with him!
I think it would sound great coz they already have symillar sounds!
EDIT: and Faithless & Robbie didn’t exactly do a songc together... yeah, both their voices are in the song but it was recorded/produced by a dance group called ’1 Giant Leap’ and Robbie’s vocas were recorded in Los Angelas while Maxi Jazz (lead rapper in Faithless) recorded his vocals in London... Faithless (the other members) had nothing to do with the song!
And the song didn’t do that well here in the UK... #8 and only 2 more weeks in the top 20 (total sales about 40,000)... which is pretty poor for a Robbie Williams song!

ok........but what about Faithless and Dido? And No 8 isn’t that bad compared with the positions Roxette has been reaching lately in the UK?
Small-talker said on April 20, 2002 16:12:
Well, Dido is a Rolo’s 9a member of Faithless) sister so it’s not tha wierd and it doesn’t fit in with this topic... next please!

don’ say stupid things, Roxette is just this Roxette, a colaboration with someone will need extra time of recording for new album, and this won’t be a good idea.
