Just been listening to the 30-sec snippet of Per singing ’I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend’, and he amazes me....
He always sounds so fresh, distinctive and energetic.
If that song was to get on to the UK Top 40 (which with EMI UK in-charge would never happen) it would sound so very, very different from anything else.

i agree that EMI UK are crap. we never hear from artists like roxette..... ever!

you can get a 30sec clip from roxettenews.com and a full version (I think, but I haven’t downloaded it all from there) from promotion.roxette.org.
per has such a great voice, re: another topic in small talk, some of the demo’s he sings are better than the album versions!
But Marie too has a cracking pair of lungs on her too!

Of course it wouldn’t do well in the UK, he hasn’t got a record company who is willing to go out and bulk-buy shit loads of CDs to get it to number one!
