German on-line CD shoppes?

Anyone out there have any suggestions. Amazon.de & German Music Express are too expensive and I can’t seem to find any others that have a good selection of German artists. My requirements: they have to ship to the US and it would be nice if they had an English page (although I could probably get my without it ).

Tack!

Difficult, I guess. You can have a try with www.indietective.de

They are pretty expensive too, though, but at least they do ship things abroad. However, they tend to focus on independent music (Deine Lakaien, De/Vision, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode), hence the name. You should give it a try, though.

You should also try: www.jpc.de (though I do not know whether they ship things abroad...), www.cd4you.de, www.wom.de

There are lots of other German online-shops, but these are the ones besides www.amazon.de and www.bol.de that instantly spring to my mind. However, I guess you actually get the best deal at amazon (but you should really try www.jpc.de as they aren’t _that_ expensive, too).

Cheers.
(got my English messed up, sorry)

Hey Thanks Sportsfan!

I’ll check those out. Amazon.de has pretty good prices on their CD’s but the shipping is ridiculous! Last time I looked, it was roughly 3 times what it costs to import stuff from Sweden. That was really shocking because Amazon in the US & UK is quite cheap as far as shipping. I don’t know, maybe there are issues which just make it more expensive to ship out of Germany?

Thanks again for the tips!

Try www.musicpeople.de

That’s where I finally found the brainpool CD that I was looking for for ages.

@Perfanatic: What kind of German music are you interestered in? Sometimes the record companies do post stuff, too.

I’m mostly looking for German (or German produced) dance/techno acts like: Scooter, Sash!, Modern Talking, ATC, Blumchen, E-rotic, Missing Heart, Captain Jack, etc.. Also Alphaville and Sandra.

Ahhh, Alphaville is *pretty* cool. 8) That should be available even on the band’s website, I think (as download) or on www.indietective.de (where you won’t find Scooter and Modern Talking, I think).

You should get all the stuff on www.jpc.de, too. I’ve checked the website recently and noticed that they indeed do ship things abroad.
