What’s that?!?! Always the last to know according to Gessle or what?!

it’s great isnt it. I would love to hear the full version! I guess there are so many demos like this hanging round in Per’s drawers.

Sounds really great!
Although, it doesn’t really remind me of Det som var nu at all

I put that on TDR a while back. Guess someone liked it.

Tev, is there a longer version available somewhere? nyone feels like sharing? Thx!

“Always the last to know“: Words by Per Gessle / Music by Marie Fredriksson

Until the Re-release of TWATG (2008) I always thought that when there is a Rox-Song with words by Per and music by Marie it worked like this: Per wrote down lyrics that were in his mind and for which he didn’t have a melody and then he handed the sheet of paper over to Marie, so that she could write the music.

But with “Every day outside my window” and “Beautiful things, terrible things” I was told something better: Per wrote whole songs and gave the demos to Marie and she re-wrote the music.

With “Always the last to know” we have another evidence.

And therefore I guess, there must be a lot of cool demos lying around in Per’s drawer for songs, he initially wrote and then handed over to Marie for re-writing the music and which sound totally different than the version we know:

Words by Per / Music by Marie:

- Turn to me
- Half a woman, half a shadow
- Watercolours in the rain
- Go to sleep
- See me
- Myth
- Always the last to know

Words by Per / Music by Per and Marie:

- Dance away
- Cry
- Hotblooded
- Seduce me

Words by Per / Music by Marie and Per Andersson:

- Voices

Would be great if Per decides to release all these demos someday …

You forgot:

Words by Per / Music by Marie:
Beautiful Things

Btw, the Youtube demo sounds awful to my ears. Halleluja, sister, brother? It’s better to be kept in the drawer and never release it!
