I ask because it looks like they give you the option for some acts there to be more specific but for the same price. So I was wonsering if you have any idea on that ??

The Hilton Kensington is 2 minutes walk form shephards bush empire, £66 at the moment for a twin or double room for 2 adults including breakfast. This is an excellent price for a London hotel and is listed as “January sale” so book fast!

Great if you want an easy wander back form the show, not the best location for the best sights of London.

Shephards Bush Central, Goldhawk Road and Shephards Bush Hammer/City line underground stations are all very close.

Oooh ! Just under an hour now until it’s time to buy ! I think I’ll go with “Level 1” since I’m neither punctual nor pushy enough to ever get to the front at the “Standing Area’s.”

It looks like its all unreserved spaces - apart which level you decide to be on - and I think that is a bit dumb considering their website says even if you pick level 1, 2 or 3 you might not get a seat and have to stand at the back. :S

I was just watching a Sheryl Crow concert filmed at Shepherd’s Bush whilst I was waiting - it looks quite nice inside !! I do wonder how strict they are about ticket types once your inside though !?

The rest of the world seems to have print them yourself tickets, not Ticketmaster, it is far more useful to them to charge £5.25 per ticket to print them and £4.95 to post them with no option of box office collection.

If I was a hacker I’d bring them down.

lol. Yeah ticketmaster always screw you with the presale when its alloacted seats or whatnot ! Always get offered crap no matter how quickly I am able to race through the selction and stuff !!! :S

I suppose with the print-them-yoursself tickets, someone can always hack your account, duplicate the tickets and arrive there before you - making it seem like you are the thief, d’oh !

unreserved standing is standing in front of the stage!! it’s only a small venue, so you’re not going to be too far away where ever you are!

Almost 10 years since the WICF promotion in London with MTV Select, Pepsi Chart Show and the Capital Radio gig and we’re back.

Bringing my wife - her second ’Roxette’ gig - eldest son’s been luckier with various trips to Sweden for the Mazarin release party and Malmo gig.

We were going to stay at the Hilton, but we found an offer too good at the Shaftsbury Metropolis in Hyde Park, we’re staying for 4 nights in London, so it was cheaper for us!

It’s going to be good to meet lots of new people!!

Got my ticket this morning as well. I’ll be on my own as well. I do have a regular “concert buddy” who i go to a lot of concerts with and I did consider getting a ticket for him, but I know he wouldnt want to queue to stand at the front and I certainly will be. I dont mind standing further back normally, but generally when I am a big fan of someone i like to be near to the front.
Oh and Ive bought e-tickets from ticketmaster before, so not sure why they werent available for this gig

Same here - I like to get as close to the front as I can. My last concert I went to (Bon Jovi) I was in the queue from 10:30am just to get to the forth row!

No way to get from level 1 or level 2 down to standing area??

You can collect tickets from the box office when you arrive... but you must present the credit card you pay with when you collect the tickets!

Really?? I mean, I’ve loved Per for ages. I’m British but I practically know words to all his SWEDISH songs as well as his english ones!! I was in shock when I read he was doing London. I can’t wait! @Tina142 - obviously there are many many more Roxette fans than Per fans in the UK, the vast majority of UK Per fans would’ve found out about his stuff because they like Roxette. That whats happened to me.

I’m hoping that the tickets will sell very well, hopefully they will sell out. A country of 55,000,000 must have a chance of selling 2000 tickets?? Time will tell!! To be honest though, i couldn’t care if only 10 were sold! As long as I get to see Per!

I don’t think it will sell very quickly. The tickets are very expensive for that venue, and like it or not Roxette is Marie for much of the UK public......in fact even when I bring them up in conversation now, many people think that is her name! Having said that, concerts and events in London are generally much easier to sell than any other part of the UK and i think it will be well attended, if not completely sold out.

I really hope there is a good turn out, the UK has kind of ignored Rox/Per for a long time and I cant see people who aren’t die hard fans knowing the name.

I’ll be at the Hilton too. Shame I don’t live there anymore - I actually lived about 3 mins walk from the Empire, just off Goldhawk Road on a road called Benbow Road. I could have had a pre-concert party! pah!

It would be good to know how many of the tickets gets sold - goodness, we call allalmost be at the front by the stage! How intimate!

Mine says the same but seat no 13, I’m guessing this is so they can reference the number of tickets sold, it will be crap if they put a load of chairs out.

Don’t waste your time asking ticketmaster I’ve found them to be very unhelpful with such queries in the past.

Yeah it is just a number generated by the system....there will definitely not be seating on the ground floor. If you also check the row number it says “0”, which suggests there are no rows, ie standing

emil, as far as i remember the venue has a curfew of 11pm, so there should be no problem in getting the tube after the concert

I’ll be on level 1 - hopefully at the front there ! There’s no way I’d get anywhere near the front row on the ground though !!!

The club is big ,so maybe won’t be so easy to meet Per.
But still -it isn’t a stadium :-)
Last tours he was quite open for such meetings,so there is a chance.

Who bought tickets today -and what number is written on it?

Someone said 2000 people for whole Empire,but how much people will be let on standing area?

emil, not sure of the numbers, but the standing area feels really small. Here is a pic of inside the venue (click on the picture to see it enlarged)

On the picture is the whole of the main standing area, although there is a raised platform behind the sound desk at the back of this area which probably holds another 150 people. I’m guessing there can’t be more than about 600 people in the whole downstairs area...it seems like even less than that, but i’m thinking it must be about that if the whole venue holds 2000

I’m being sent quite a large amount of leaflets from the Tour Promoter. If anyone from the UK wants to have some of those sent to them (sorry, but only in the UK due to postage costs - I’m not rich!), let me know!

We can bombard our local music stores and anywhere else you can think of with leaflets. Anything to help promote the UK Show!!

Checked ticketmaster and my tickets have been dispatched. Just waiting for them! Hope they come tomorrow. I don’t think I’m gonna believe I’m seeing the legend that is Per Gessle until I see him standing in front of me!!!! I’m so excited!!!! Wish it was tomrrow and not 12 weeks time!!!!
