FYI Due to the content of what this thread could become, I’ll be keeping an eye on it closely. If it starts to get out of hand, it WILL be closed....

You want the truth, I don’t care... I avoid reading the news on things like that! It’s not my country and quite frankly I have more important things in life to think of right now a lot closer to home!

Have to be honest , I dont care either lol. I have no say either way. I personally think each side is as bad as the other. Always a shame innocent people get caught up but its been going on for decades now. Nothing new im afraid mr.

Agree with the poster above. I think both side are as bad as each other. I care more to the victims whether is Palestinian or Israeli. But that’s about it, because I tend to pay attention more to what happen in my own country.

LOL - Muslims getting angry at bloodloss is kind of like a drug dealer getting angry at the sight of people dying of over doses.

Both sides are rotten to their very core. Killing in the name of religion? No religion is worth dying for, the sooner religion is stripped of it’s “sacred” status the better we would all be.

This has been going on for centuries... if people choose to fight and kill for their “almighty”, good luck to you, but just make sure you kill yourselves and each other, not the innocent ones.

Cheers.

It’s silly to kill others at all. The Bible says that one shouldn’t fight anger with anger.
So, I agree - killing for religious reasons is just not right!!

Why can’t humans live in peace together. We have other, bigger things to worry about - like global warming. That is the biggest thing we have going on that could end life on this planet sooner than we thought.

Humans just won’t get it CoyRoy. The idea of a human taking another human’s life is sickening. Something I cannot fathom.

These people need an education. They need to expand their horizons. Their whole life is dictated by religion, it’s sickening. Will it ever stop? No. It’s been going on for centuries... we just don’t learn.

And there are those cretins who strap sticks of dynamite to their chest and kill innocent people to be blessed with virgins in heaven. It would be laughable if it wasn’t so sick!

I wonder if the topic would have been started at all if the victims were on the other side.
Religion is one of the worst invention humans could come up with. And fighting for it is another one.

By the way any Rox fans from that region?

Of course both sides are guilty to an extent, but Israels actions are absolutely shocking! The only reason they get away with it is that america refuses to condemn them, whatever they do

ok, let me correct myself, ORGANISED religion is the problem, those who use religion to control others.
I have no problem with people believing in whatever they want to, god, UFOS, ghosts, whatever. As long as they keep it for themselves and don’t try to convince others or control others with that (wars) and the whole crap with my god is better than yours...

@ Lawyer...

If you read in the Quran the following “that one who saves the life of a single person is equivalent to one who saves the life of whole mankind...” does that mean Muslins are all for Organ Donation? I just wonder as here in the UK the most people requiring donor organs are of Asian descent but they are also the least number of people to receive transplants because people don’t donate after their death.

Just for the record one of the worse illnesses to actually die from is End Stage Renal Failure, ask any Doctor that! Your body slowly poisons itself and eventually your heart will fail because of the amount of toxins and fluid that build up in your body...

Shame someone can’t create an artificial kidney for transplant to keep people living longer.

@ Lawyer

What the heck has circumcision got to do with it???????

Who cares if that barbaric practice is required by Muslims and Jews?

What relevence does foreskin have to the arguement?

Oddball...

Yes he’s a strange one. I don’t really get the circumcision thing either.....though I do vaguely remember a similar argument about circumcision on here, or was it masturbation....i can’t quite remember. This could have been a sensible topic with sensible discussions about the situation in Israel/Palestine, but he doesnt help his argument when he fills the thread with this drivel.

Let’s just hope the Cease Fire continues!

lawyer, you are a strange chap. This topic could have been an interesting discussion, until you started talking about uncircumcised soldiers persuading children to be suicide bombers? Could you not just discuss the situation in Israel/Palestine as it is?

anyone hurting anyone else is wrong. Full stop. No one has the right to take anyone else’s life. I agree with some of the other people in this thread - religion is a bad idea in the hands of humans.

Personally, I am more spiritual than religious - and try and follow some of the rules set down in Bhuddism (though I could never give up meat - so I could never be a Bhuddust); but one key principle is to respect all life. Not just human life, but all life.

Fighting and killing - whichever side your on is just wrong and, quite frankly moronic.

whats the sense of this war? Don´t get the point of that conflict... And as always: the reason is religion, worst thing on earth in my eyes.

@Lawyer

So because I’m a male who is not circumcised... I’m some how un-godly?

You are a lunatic!

Who cares if the people bombing have a foreskin or not? It makes NO DIFFERENCE whatsoever!

He who bombs is a moron, regardless of the state of his penis!

Yeeesh!

I agree with lawyer, how can religion be the reason of this conflict if religion is all about love, respect and tolerance. How can those who kill be Islamic, I’d rather call them blind fanatics with ill views on life whose place is in asylum and they have nothing to do with Islam. They can say whatever they want but their actions are godless. I’m Orthodox and I live in a Moslem country. Orthodoxy is widespread here and tolerance is one of the main priorities here. Some moslem and orthodox holidays are national holidays here. Moslems celebrate and take part in orthodox holiday’s activities and vice versa which I think is great. It was Epiphany on January 19 and lot of moslems were celebrating as well having a dip in the river so I think tolerance is very important and should be practiced everywhere. I’m sorry for innocent victims and I also think both sides are wrong, but Israel actions are really excessive.

Two nations - one country. That is the problem. The pot is laughing at the pan.

And of course, he who does not believe that Islam is peace will be convinced of that with violence.

“religion is all about love, respect and tolerance”

This must have been the initial thought behind it, but to me any organised religion is about exclusion if you are not ready to follow their rules. To me it’s all about power and controlling the others with fear.

This has nothing to do with each individual belief and religion.
