In 1989, I was studying in a remote corner of South Africa and I first saw the video of Listen To your Heart. I will never forget Marie in that castle- barefoot and the sexiest babe i had ever seen. :-) Seeing that video 19 years later makes me smile -i feel like a teenager all over again - the crush and everything! Thank you to her and Per for the music and wonderful memories. (smile). I would love to hear from any of you about your favourite memories that their music recalls. Cheers! Rodney, South Africa

Hi Rodney,
My first memory of Roxette was, when my father put back in the early 90´s the Joyride cassette in his recorder. I sit in front of the speaker, i was 7 years old, and was fascinated what a great song Joyride was. This guitarsound hits me. At this point i became a Roxette-fan. I was born in Poland, so we travelled every year at the vacations to Poland and their markets were awesome. I bought many cassettes of Roxette there, today I think it were all illegal copys ^^. My cousin had at this time tons of BRAVO magazines and i read every single word about Roxette and collected all their Lyrics that you could cut out of the paper. This was a really special Rox-time. Every single was awesome.
With TWATG i became more a Gessle fan, than Roxette. I like his own projects more, also all the demos. Today I think Roxette in the 90´s were different than in the years of HAND or RS. Nice Albums, but every time i hear the Joyride album, I think that almost every song could have been a single. Totally different to all other albums they have made. In my eyes HAND was the poorest album. So Today, I hear the Joyride album in my car, when i drive to work. 18 years between this moments, and the music is still great :)

Hey guys, Thanks so much for sharing.... I know it is a cliche, but i always find it so amazing how universal the language of music is and how it takes you straight back to a moment or moments - more even than a photograph. Cheers! Rodney

Whenever I see the video for Listen To Your Heart now, I still think Marie looks stunning. There is something about that video which is just amazing. Per doesn’t look too bad either, which in those old days, was rare! Another video which Marie looks great is the Almost Unreal video. I was shocked when I learnt that she was heavily pregnant at the time!

Strange I should read of the Almost Unreal video as my wife is watching Hollyoaks and Tony is on screen !!!

Even Stranger... speaking of Tony from Hollyoaks, actor Nick Pickard ...
... I had the pleasure of meeting him yesterday in Liverpool after the Panto which he is appearing in! He’s so nice and we chatted about the Roxette video Almost Unreal! He also posed for pictures as well...
I don’t think he’s changed much from when he did the video! :)

Hi roxers,
my first memory was early 90‘s, with joyride.
A few days later a friend of mine had the “Pearls of Passiion” on a cassette. Very bad quality but unbelievable good music. Rox fever was flown over me. Now Iàm 32 and still love their music...:-) Hope rox never die...
Cheers
Christian

My first memory of Roxette was catching a video of Dressed For Success on UK TV, I didn’t have a clue at the time I would become a massive fan but I remember watching the video on a Saturday morning and thinking wow they are cool! :) The a few years later I got hooked on The Big L and the rest as they say is HISTORY!

My Mama told me that she listened to the Look Sharp Album when I was in her Belly and every time my Mama and I listen to The Look or Joyride it makes us remember the good Days of the Late 80’s and early ’s!

I wasn’t a Roxette fan when Listen To Your Heart was a hit, but whenever I saw that super-sexy girl with the short dress and bare-feet on the stage, I was stunned and captivated. Marie still looks so stylish and classy on that video. She amazes everyone I show that video to. The queen of any stage!!!

I think most of us think and feel that way!
Marie sings and looks like an angel in this song!
