Talking about collections :P

Im just wondering about your Roxette-collection ( if you are a collector that is)=).
How long have you been collecting?, how big is your collection?, what did you pay most money for in you collection?, whats your favorite item in your collection?
I have quite a big collection, but I dont think its one of the biggest around you guys at TDR jeje. I have about 500 dif Cds, vinyls, tapes etc etc. The one I pais mpst money for was the canadian Soul Deep 12” promo ( something like 75 pounds), but the one I like the most must be the french Fading Like A Flower CDM ( still sealed). Second place comes my 2- LP UK Dont bore us-get to the chorus=). How about you?

I started collecting but realised there is much more to life!

I do both life and collecting=)

The same with me - I can both collect and enjoy living :)

I’ve never had money enough for collecting things. I’m satisfied with all their CDs and a few DVDs.

I did collect but found I didn’t have space to store it so gradually off loaded things on eBay... it took about four years to sell off my collection gradually. I still have some items which I won’t part with (well until I get sick of beans on toast...) but I don’t miss my collection, it was just gathering dust!

I started collecting in 1993 after getting “Tourism” for Christmas that year. However, since I live in NZ, it’s not easy to get all the goodies that are more common in Europe - and I’m too “protective” of my bank details online...

Anyway, so far I’ve ended up with:

-Pearls of Passion (1997) - I had this one imported. Never seen another copy anywhere here.
-Look Sharp! - Used to have this on cassette, until I found out there was an extra track on the CD.
-The Look (12” single, and a 45)
-Joyride (album)
-Tourism (CD and 2xLP) - I used to have it on cassette.
-How Do You Do!
-Almost Unreal
-Crash! Boom! Bang! (album and single)
-Sleeping in My Car
-Rarities - This is a rarity on its own now...was lucky to find it!
-Don’t Bore Us - Get to the Chorus! (international version [1995])
-You Don’t Understand Me
-June Afternoon
-Baladas en Español - I was lucky to find this one too, as I haven’t seen it anywhere else since.
-Have a Nice Day
-Room Service
-The Ballad Hits
-The Pop Hits
-Roxette Hits!
-The Look - Live in Zürich ’91 - Part 2 (bootleg)
-Roxette Live (bootleg) - This is pretty much an audio rip of “Live-ism”

So, I have a long way to go yet.

I haven’t got the time or the patience to list what I’ve got here. It’s a stupid amount, but probably not as much as others

Oh yeah, I have “Fading Like a Flower (Everytime You Leave)” on 45 as well, hehe.

I only collect the stuff in English, I have one or two GT / MF / PG stuff in Swedish but not a lot.

My Peter Pop 7” and Teaser Japanese 7” under the Rox name are my faves.

I started collecting things about roxette (cds, singles, press reviews, pictures, etc,..) in 1994 with C!B!B!. I loved Roxette since LS! because of my brother who used to listen to Roxette and I became also a fan, ever bigger than him today :-)

I used to collect everything when I was 14 or so. I remember when ’Fireworks’ came out, I went to HMV and told them I wanted to buy it on everything, that was 7”, Cassingle, CD etc... then after some years I switched to CD’s and only vinyls which weren’t available on anything else. Today I don’t really collect records. I still enjoy the music, that’s something that will never change but to have the same thing several times it’s not for me now. I do buy all the singles and all the releases but only one time!
eBay has chenged a lot of things because to find a very old single was very difficult and expensive before now if you know how to move it’s easy and cheap.

i have most of roxette’s 7” and record vinyls.
my fav would have to be Heartland mini lp reminds me on how it all started (sorta)
i also like the live bootlegs as well as i have never seen them live.
