I really don’t see the point in it at all, its all the same songs again. There is no picture of the item though....

It must be the old “Ballad” and “Pop” hits CD’s squeezed into a box, plus the DVD. Those discs are supposed to be “deleted”, so this must be a way to get rid of the remaining stock. But if you already have them, there’s no point in buying the same stuff again.

I’m guessing it’s real - but probably like someone said, a little plastic sleeve to hold them together or something - although the DVD part makes that less likely. Either way I’d like to see what it looks like ! It’s just like a Deluxe Roxette Hits (minus One Wish and Reveal and plus crappy quality videos)

On the page it describes it as being packaged in CD sized 8 panel digipaks with a slip case - or something like that. It’s not very expensive ... I might buy it out of curiousity.

Everybody says “please, no more compilations” and now everybody wants to grab a copy of the same stuff one more time... It’s hard to understand. I wouldn’t waste a cent in this because a) it’s not a ’gift’ and b) I’ve got those songs and videos a zillion times. And be 100% sure the quality of the DVD will still be bad. But if you want to feed EMI again, go ahead.

They are repackaging old stuff for a convenient price. Obviously, there’s no budget for extras or any other exclusive material. If you invest in production, then you have to increase the final price. It’s like those albums that are being released as “slide-pack”, with no booklet.
According to www.tematika.com, some ’gift-packs’ have been released here. Blur, KT Tunstall, Placebo, UB40, Pat Banatar and Mike Oldfield, among others. But no Roxette, luckily!

EMI have released several of these packages before for other artists and they have been available in Australia. It is exactly the same CDs and DVDs that have been previously released, but packaged together for a more reasonable price. I assume it will be the same for the Roxette release. It will be the same Ballad Hits and Pop Hits CD with the Ballad/Pop Hits DVD that was released previously. It will be packaged together for the general market (not fans) who would not want to purchase these kind of things individually, but might be enticed to by a package. This will be nothing new if you already own the CDs/DVD.

They’re more targeted towards people who arent hardcore fans like most of us. I think they’re lovely!

DVD is the same, 1-in-1. One wish video is not on this DVD. All videos for certain are the same horrible quality as from RoxBox, Roxette 20 Greatest hits ! So, i think this release is not meaningful at all. Unless for a collection.

Um, you speak as if this release was aimed at us (we aren’t “everyone”...) These releases are really low-priced aimed at Joe Q Public and probably mainly for EMI to empty out its warehouses.

Isn’t this a release we’re waiting for since 2003? ;-) At least I excepted a double-CD-feature with TBH & TPH, but not that late - now after the 20 years compilation with new tracks this release is a little bit stupid. The most stupids thing is that they release the “all videos ever made and more”-DVD from 2001, in 2003 there was already a TBH/TPH DVD with “A thing about you” - why didn’t they choose this one?
The cover is also very uncreative, it’s just TPH-Cover with a different text, the cover itself is already ugly and now they take it for a different release again... Of course it’s not a fan-release, but it could be a little bit more up-to-date and attractive.
I discovered this release accidentally last week on buch.de, but it’s also listed on nearly every other german onlineshop (weltbild is the cheapest one with 17,99€ - see link below) and the german emi-page has a product-page for this release:

Sorry, but I don’t agree. Ugly? I think it was one of their best covers, the perfect partner for the TBH. If you wanted their faces once again as a cover, that’s another story.

No, I didn’t want their faces, I just don’t like all the ’stuff’ placed around the popcorn-star - without that the cover would have been perfect and THEN it would have been a ’perfect partner’ for TBH, which was great because of it’s simplicity.
The same with ATAY an ON, both were also good and ATAY and TBH fit perfectly together, but ON and TPH didn’t, the ’variation’ of TPH looks more like a cheap new Majorca-Hits compilation - just a filled star and it would have been a great quadrilogy but this way it sadly didn’t fit the other three... :-(
The most stupid thing is to use this cover again for a different release - ok, there’s a connection, but it’s not the same, it just belongs to a subset of the new release.

I saw the supposed “first take” (without all the stuff around) and it really looked dead and flat. It worked with TBH, but the popcorn-star with the blue background didn’t make the trick at all. I guess the designer realised it too, so Kjell revamped the cover a little. It was terrible, so I think the conffetti and the drinks make it look more alive. In addition, the raspberries were very obvious on TBH, but the popcorn is not that easy to identify to the naked eye.
This is the picture. It doesn’t look good, imo.
Now that you mentioned, ON looks quite boring if compared with TPH. Maybe if fits ATAY, but the supposed party-feeling is gone.
