Live CD!

[EDITED to add a few songs]
What if we made our own live CD? I was thinking that maybe we could make high-Q mp3’s out of live concerts on bootleg CD’s (Eg. Cash!Boom!Bank!), B-sides (Eg. “Surrender” from the Dangerous maxi single), and from live videos/V-CD’s (Both official and bootleg videos as long as the audio quality is good), and then put everything in a CD in mp3 format. It would be the longest roxette concert ever, with more than 50 live tracks!
We could include songs from the shows in Johannesbourg, Sydney, London, Norrkoping, Buenos Aires, Varverg, Cologne, Rio de Janeiro, Zürich, Los Angeles, New York City, Stockholm, Rotterdam, Oberhausen, Oslo, Moscow, Berlin, Stuttgart, Pekin, Wien, etc
And the tracklist would be:
1. Crush On You (Room Service Tour 2001)
2. Dressed For Success (Johannesbourg, 1995)
3. Listen To Your Heart (New York City, 2000)
4. Waiting For The Rain (Room Service Tour 2001)

real sugar cologne? ....... because of that performance.... they were going to give it up.... cos they made a few mistakes that day...
The Barcelona’s was better.
Hotblooded was amazing in BSAS ’95 too :)

Ok then tomorrow I’ll post a list with the songs I have...
BTW, does anybody know if there’s a program to reduce the surface sound from vinyl records and cassette tapes that I now I have converted to .wav files?
Also, if someone has any of the songs on the list, please post a msg here. It doesn’t matter if it’s not exaclty the same show, but it would be just great to have as many concerts from different cities as possible.
Cheers.

yo all these people who know a bit more than me when it comes to computers get yourself to work! I would really like to get a copy myself. I can contribute to it by sending in some songs!
Speedo said on February 19, 2002 23:10:
Yep, I would buy that one too! That’s a really cool idea. Maybe you should send a copy to P&M, they might change their mind and release an official one.

I’ve got the software to take the scratches out of the LP recorded songs!!! If I give it to you, I want a free copy of the CD!! Let me know! Still, the CD sounds great! Would the tracks flow into each other, or what? Hopefully, I just hate live songs starting softly and ending softly, like on the singles. I loved Tourism’s live songs.
Markuz said on February 20, 2002 16:19:
Ok, so I had this idea... and then everybody assumed I was going to do all the work! - LOL
Unfortunately, I don’t have that much free time lately, so I won’t be able to lead the project. Besides, I don’t even have a CD writer!
So, who’s going to do it? Of course, I’ll contribute with some of my songs.
I have the whole Zürich concert from 1991, some of the songs from the Unplugged, some from Wembley 1991, the New York 2000 promo-performance, and some other rare live tracks... some of those wavs were recorded from vinyls and tapes, that’s why I need a program to remove the surface sound.
Anyway, I think it’s a great idea and if we all collaborate we can make it happen.
And remember, the whole thing is supposed to be for FREE, ok? I never said anything about selling copies.
BTW, does any of you own any of these CDs? I guess we’ll need them for the project:
-Living Beat: the last concert of the “Crash! Boom! Bang! World Tour” live in Moscow, Russia on May 2, 1995.
-LookSharpLive!: concert in Oldenburg, Germany on December 2, 1989.
-No More Crashing Guitars: the Rotterdam Ahoy concert of the 21-9-94.
-Blonde Dreams: the Sydney concert 1991.
-Evening Boogie: the Johannesburg concert, 14-1-95.
-Crashing Guitars: the Karlskoga concert (Sept.’94)
-Live! Enjoy!: the Stockholm concert (Sept. ’94)
-Cash!Boom!Bank!: the Stockholm concert (Sept. ’94)
-Bang!: the Oslo concert (Sept. ’94)
-A Night To Remember: Wembley Arena 1991 concert.
Cheers. P.

@markuz
I’ve got the following
Crash! Boom! Bank!
Evening Boogie
Blonde Dreams (some songs sound like audience recorded over album tracks)
A Night To Remember (this seems like it is slowed down though)
Dressed For Roxette (Oldenburg 1989)
Stockholm 2001 (recorded from the webcast, so there is some background sound due to the compression, but I’ll see if I can enhance it a bit and remove that noise)
I have all in MP3 and normal audio.
If there is a way I wouldn’t mind getting the Zurich 1991 concert off of you.
I’ve got the equipment to make such CD’s
Only problems are.
I don’t have all the concerts.
I live in Australia so sending out a CD via post costs me a bit,
and I can’t upload the tracks as mp3 as my e-mail server wont allow me to do it. (files too big)
@everyone
If you have any of the other concerts I don’t, give me a yell, and hopefully we might be able to make a swap.

I would like to contribute as well, I can get almost all songs from the Crash!Boom!Bang! concert in Lima, Perú (except the cover song SYWBARS) and let me tell you, Marie really poured her heart out when she performed “crash boom bang” . Mistakes? yeah, when she introduced TFGOTM as “the first moon...” OMG! she quickly corrected. She’s a diva, we all forgive her, don’t we? :)
