Roxette album sales

Hello everybody,
is there a site where i can find the Album sales of Roxette for example 11 million for Joyride?

Those ’traditional’ sale figures are quite out-of-date. I can’t believe the ’Joyride’ album has not sold a single copy in almost one decade, and it’s still stuck in 11 million. ’Classic’ albums like “Look Sharp!” and “Joyride” (“Tourism” and “CBB” too, in some extent) go on selling every year, maybe not millions, but some thousands copies.

ok so maybe Joyride have sold 11 million and 5000 copies. Not really worth mentioning 5000 copies is there?

I think we got that 11 million figure when DBU was released. In 13 years, I think it’s a lot more than 5000 copies, dear.

the last i heard a few years ago went like this
Look Sharp! 11 million
Joyride 12 million
Tourism 6 million
Crash Boom Bang 5 million
Have A Nice Day 2 million
Room Service 2 million
cant remember where they were from but it was a website were you could search albums to get info on them but it was about 3 years ago and im getting old now at 24 brain doesnt function as well
davidc4 said on July 9, 2008 15:56:
oh and Pearls Of Passion 1 million
dbugttc around 4 million
it would be more like 10,000 a year since release for the more popular ones i would reckon tho you could try emailin hmv and see how many they sell per year and then use that figure to guess how many places like zavvi sell

I always believed that “Crash!Boom!Bang!” had sold more than “Tourism”. Guess I was wrong=)

I don’t think HAND and RS have sold the same. I am quite sure HAND sold a lot more copies, don’t forget WICF was a global hit. It must be 3 million by now.
Wicf said on July 10, 2008 09:01:
HAND sold definitely more than RS... WICF was much more successful than TCOTH, IMHO
Roxette-atic said on July 10, 2008 10:19:
Per in the new book: “HAND sold nearly 2 million copies”. It has NOT sold a million albums more just because it was released 9 years ago. However, I agreee that Room Service must have sold less than HAND. Maybe 1.5 million would be more correct.

We’re never EVER going to have confirmed numbers on how many albums they’ve sold. Its not going to happen. And does it really matter? I know I’m probably going to get slagged off for saying that, but I don’t care how many they sell. it could be 10 copies! As long as I like the music, then thats all I care about.
Roxette-atic said on July 10, 2008 12:36:
@alexandru: read the book, or read it again. Per clearly say that hand has sold 2 million.
davidc4 said on July 10, 2008 12:52:
at the end of the day the figures are “round abouts” those amounts i dont think we (well most of us) are that freaky to need to know every sale down to the last copy lol
for instance we know that Joyride has sold around 12 million so we dont need to know if it was 11 million 989 thousand 406 copies do we. Have A Nice Day(i hate shortening it to HAND) was around 2 as it says in ballad hits books and it as available now as some others so wont sell that many year on year. Room Service was probably less but they had similar success as neither were big sellers in UK or US but were in europe.

it keeps postin twice ah wells.
does anyone know how many the 20 greates songs album has shipped so far?

I don’t agree on that. Have A Nice Day was absolutely more successful than Room Service. With the exception of Milk And Toast And Honey, that was a minor hit Brazil and Argentina, Room Service didn’t bring any hit outside Europe. WICF was #11 in the UK, while M&T&H didn’t even chart.
Here in Argentina, HAND was promoted massively: on TV, the newspapers, there were big banners even in the streets. Don’t forget the promotional tour; the Spanish versions pushed the album even further. But Room Service was totally ignored. EMI didn’t put any effort in promotion.

I don’t think the 20 greatest will have sold too many as everyone already has 20 copies of gt hits in one form or another
Roxette-atic said on July 10, 2008 20:28:
I dont think that HITS! have sold even 500 000 copies. #2 sweden, #22 UK #7 (?) Ireland... It has sold some copies obviously but not as much as 1 000 000. Dont think so anyway.
tevensso (moderator) said on July 12, 2008 09:14:
Roxette Hits! was awarded gold in Sweden Feb 23 2007. Nothing after that in 2007. That’s 20,000 sold (shipped).
tomos85 said on July 12, 2008 09:27:
Roxette Hits! is back in the Swedish charts again - this week is on #57, last week was on #31. There’s probably some kind of sale, cos I cannot explain that in differen way :)

They say CDON sold it for 39 SEK the other week. We’ll see when 2008’s statistics are out next year.
