What is this show like? Sounds expensive and exclusive somehow. I am getting curious. But “bigband” sounds VERY nice to me.

It’s all over the media now, so I would believe it ;-)
This tour takes place yearly as far as I know and one cannot buy tickets for it. It’s organised for different companies in Sweden, they give the tickets among their employees.
I saw Eva Dahlgren in 2000 in such a tour/show, it was.. different :-) She sang about 5 of her own songs and then she played in some funny gags/scenes and joined other artists singing as well.
Cool!!! :-)))))

I still wonder about the price. They write it’s not much more expensive than an exclusive dinner in a restaurant, haha..

Still don’t know if it’s officiall or is it just a rumour? I wrote email to Stjarnklart and asked if it would be possible to buy a ticket if someone is icke-foretag-kille. I hope they will answer quickly :)

Not really. I still don’t know what to think about it. I’m curious about the whole thing but really not overexcited - Marie is becoming a society girl at last.

What for sure won’t happen is that Marie is on stage during the whole show. There are other (famous) artists participating as well and each of them gets more or less time on stage.
I am not trying to make this event less important, just trying to make sure that there are no missunderstandings and nobody expects to a 2-hour Marie concert.
For what I remember for the one I saw in 2000: it was fun, Eva sang her most famous songs (Ängel i rummet, stjärnorna, hålll om mej) I think alone on stage (with orchestra) and played in 2 scenes and joined 1-2 artists on stage (backing vocals).
What I also noticed is that audience saw it more like a musical or theater piece and didn’t sing along, just clapped when it was the time for it and laughed at the funny scenes :)
Nice start for Marie anyway :)))) not too much stress, but still a tour :))))

Well, I think this is great anyway - a chance for Marie to test herself on stage without a huge commitment of time, and without having to carry the whole show herself... very good idea. I imagine it’s stressful to mount a tour in your own name... I was reading an interview with Alanis, who opened for Matchbox Twenty on their latest tour, and she commented that it was a completely different experience because she didn’t have to stress about ticket sales and promotion, she could just show up, play her set, and move on...
tevensso (moderator) said on May 27, 2008 19:10:
All the other artists are artists that haven’t been famous for years. Except maybe for Måns Zelmerlöw. I’ve never heard of the show “Stjärnklart” that they in the article claim is a huge show...

Around 150 Euro a ticket. But only companies can buy tickets and they have to buy 10 or more.

STUPID!!!!
Jud (moderator) said on May 29, 2008 05:38:
this is a gala, kind of a mix between theater, concert, musical? there is also a dinner and drinks included. It’s not cheap, but also not extremely expensive.
Taking into account how much alcohol costs in bars/restaurants in Sweden I don’t find it THAT expensive :DDDD

This is the kind of thing that companies buy tickets for and give to their customers for X-mas. There’s also an ABBA tour that is the same. It’s used as a “thank you for your business” bribe sort of thing. This way they can sell more tickets than if it was open to the public.
ncurran said on June 2, 2008 21:41:
I really want to go to this, even if she only sings a few songs it would be great to see her on stage again and would be well worth the trip, as I am a massive marie fan, as most of you know. If anyone hears of another way we can get tickets for this, please let me know! If you have to buy in bulks of 10, maybe we could organise something? Can you imagine how cool it would be to have a table of Marie fans cheering her on?

Anyway, good for you guys for getting the tickets. Perhaps the recession is actually in your favour!

€200 for a ticket, plus the trip from whatever country just to see Marie sing one or two songs? I don’t judge, but in my book that’s insane.
Room_service said on October 29, 2008 23:42:
Damn, I couldn’t agree more. If it were a full Marie concert, I could understand it. But only €200 for 2 or 3 old songs, all surrounded by strangers... And you have to endure the whole show, with Måns “Idol” Zelmerlöw and other not so-well-known artists. You have to draw a line somewhere.
Perekopsky said on October 30, 2008 02:17:
It is your choice whether to go and to see Marie on stage even for 3 or 4 songs or to stay at home and enjoy what you like doing.
Don’t judge people ;) because we all different and we do what we want to do with our money whether to buy a ticket to this show or for instance to buy a chair signed by Per or a vinyl with old songs for 4550 SEK.
You don’t have to respect someone’s solution or choice because this person may not need it from your side ;)
Anyway this is you who will then ask for a video or for some pictures taken from the show :)
Future will show.
whateveriam said on October 30, 2008 05:29:
But no, you’re perfectly right, it’s up to you what you spend your hard-earned readies on. The thing is though, that you can’t say it was worth spending until you’ve actually sat through it. That’s like buying a car and saying it’s brilliant even though you’ve actually never driven it.
Just one more thing though - are you even checked to see if you’re even allowed to take pictures in the first place? I assume it’s the sort of event they have a professional photographer to chronicle, so they might not like you taking personal ones.
Perekopsky said on October 30, 2008 05:47:
Damn right! Time will tell of course :)
I arrange this with organizers and with Dimman too. I mean takin’ pix and makin’ videos and arrangin’ Meet&Greet with Marie F.
Keep my fingers crossed ;)
Jud (moderator) said on October 30, 2008 05:51:
I thought about it a very long time, and decided against it, it was too expensive for two people, been doing some changes in the flat, bought a new PC and some other stuff this year.. no budget anymore :/
Have fun all of you who go there!

Yep, after consideration I think I’ll give it a miss as it would just be more debt after quite an expensive year in my personal life, and all of that time and money to listen to a couple of songs, and I would guess the atmosphere will be pretty flat as well. I think i would have considered it if it was a group of people together as it could have been a laugh, but i think if i did fly over for this I would probably just spend a lot of money and not particularly enjoy it.
I suppose as a Marie fan you just worry if you’ll have another opportunity to see her live, but thats just a risk i’ll have to take
Emil__BG said on October 30, 2008 21:08:
There mo price for seeing Marie on stage even for 2-3 songs.
It’s insane to give such money for just one CD ,but somebody did it.
Roxryder said on October 31, 2008 00:23:
If you can afford it no matter how much it is and just for 1-3 songs she’ll still be Marie and once in a lifetime opportunity maybe it won’t happen again or maybe it’s the first time you have the chance to do it. My advise is if you want to go the concert wether it’s the savings of your life or you have the money seeing Marie live onstage would be something you’ll tresured all your life more than 200 euro that might be spent on taxes or a present for someone in your office you don’t like (just a couple of examples). Even if you’re travelling from the other side of the world for just 20min of Marie will be worth it. A humble point of view.

I cant really afford it though....thats the point. Its been a very expensive year for me moving house, buying furniture and other things and I am already in a lot of debt. I can’t really justify spending about £500 on a trip to sweden to listen to 2 songs. I could easily slip it all on my credit card, but i would regret it later
Perekopsky said on October 31, 2008 02:43:
If you feel now you would regret it, it’s a high per cent that you would.
It depends on your feelings too.
These 200 Euro mean not only seeing Marie live onstage, it also means Stockholm, wine, emotions, laughter, X-mas shopping, meeting friends and so on and so force.
That’s why I am longing for these days. And of course this will be the first time I will watch Marie solo live onstage.
brik said on October 31, 2008 03:06:
tevensso: I saved ten salaries in a year, only to be able to travel to Sweden last year, we have an Argentine devaluation of 1 dollar = 3.3 pesos.
That’s really expensive to me.and I would pay again for three songs of Marie! This is not crazy, it’s just love!
Judith: do you traveled to Sweden to see Eva Dolgren and not traveling to see Marie? mmm
PDT: only for fans what love to Roxette!
sorry for my poor English. Cristian
tevensso (moderator) said on October 31, 2008 08:41:
@brik: Yes, thank you for proving my point - it’s insane! I would never ever save 10 months’ pay and travel to Argentina to see a concert or two. Food etc. comes first. But each to his own.
Roxryder said on October 31, 2008 10:07:
Don’t start again with if you pay to see that live instead of Marie or Per maybe it was the right time and right place and further more have our reasons to do whatever we feel like and that doesn’t mean wether you’re a fan or not.
If you want to and have the chance don’t waste it :)
@Thomas: If you or any european save 10 months’ pay you might have enough to buy the whole country and even the ticket back home.

Everyone can do what he/she wants with the money he/she owns, and I am not here to judge. I was also doing the same when I was younger, but then I became realistic and I understood that it was a point to draw a line, a limit. I mean she decided to do this tour NOT open to everyone, just for people who works in firms etc.etc and she did it just for earn easy money, singing 2 or maybe 3 songs every evening ( 1O or 15 minutes max?). I am sure she will be paid a lot, and the tickets are bloody expensive. She can make her choices with her career, but I don’t agree with this kind of choice. I find it quite disappointing that these events are not open to common people like you and me, but to chosen people. This is unfair. Then the price for a ticket is insane. Anyway I wish a pleasant and unforgetful experience to everyone who will go there. I would never go there, personally speaking.

FireDiamond said on May 27, 2008 08:39:
That sounds very less likely. Why would she go on a tour out of nothing? Last time it took great effort of the fans to make her do so, although she was healthy, just released very successful album and even did some promotion for it. Now she’s goin on a tour with what? Sorry that I’m negative but I think that’s just speculations, there’s nothing on her new site about it too.
