Crashing through the doors

Well a sample is available at love-ninjas.com and I must say dissapointing, music is weak, lyrics questionable.
How can you get a great song and make it “just good”
anyway...

Ditto. Dnt fck with a MrG song if you’re not a fan/not half as talented/have crap lyrics and a boring voice.... they sound half asleep!!!
Thank the pope nobody besides the VN fans and some Rox fans will ever get to hear this. But then again, “Hanna Montana music” is quite popular these days....
Viva Spegelboll!!!!!

I feel the hit potential has been removed somehow. Maybe this isn’t the final mix?? :S
CRIZ said on May 14, 2008 11:23:
Ouch!!
Who needs that??
*desperately putting my Mazarin CD into the player*
That’s the proof that Per is not only a good songwriter but also a good singer and he and his crew are great musicians!

Tev - removed? REMOVED? It’s been pulled out by it’s entrails and beaten to death with a club! Ugh, my ears!
pwbbounce (moderator) said on May 14, 2008 15:53:
@ Tev and Whatever..... How funny!!
Like I said somewhere else - Per should’ve saved it and given it the Rox-treatment one day!!
roxtexanet said on May 14, 2008 18:06:
I kind of like it! (*runs and hides before the lynching starts*) - okay, the vocals are not great and WTF is with the lyrics? Am I hearing that right? “They’re crashing through the doors to get the cherry tasting cream”???!??! Surely that’s not it, right?! But I like the guitars... and I’m glad they ditched the disco elements from Per’s version (it doesn’t sound so much like Blondie’s “Atomic” now).
And yes, Roxette could have killed with their own version of this. “Maybe someday...”
tevensso (moderator) said on May 14, 2008 18:48:
You’re not wrong:
We’re crashing through the doors
To get the cherry-tasting cream
We’re crashing through the doors
To get the cherry-tasting cream
We’re crashing through the doors
To get the cherry-tasting cream
We’re crashing through the doors
To get the cherry-tasting cream
Standing with my face to the wall
Feels I’ve done the same before
Static motions in my head
But I’m told that love’s not dead
To get the cherry-tasting cream
We’re crashing through the doors
On the road to perfect world
Only dreams can lead the way
In between the twists and turns
All the secret answers lay
To get the cherry-tasting cream
We’re crashing through the doors
Those that fail to learn from history
Can see the fire and ice collide
The endless game of hide and seek
Won’t help you cross the borderlines
To get the cherry-tasting cream
We’re crashing through the doors
whateveriam said on May 14, 2008 19:15:
@roxtextanet - well, if you like it, that’s fine. ;-)
Lyrics are um....WTF?
tevensso (moderator) said on May 14, 2008 19:48:
I’m not a lyrics person so they can sing about cherry flavored cream all they want. But is it really referring to cream or is it something sexual?? Beats me.
I want to hear the song in good quality before I decide if I like it or not.
Lennon said on May 14, 2008 19:59:
Maybe it sounds bad becauseof the low bitrate. I often heard those previews in the net and thought “shit!”, but then the 16 bit/ 44 khz-Version on CD was much better. These low-bitrate-streams are not that god togeta real impression of a recording.

@Tev - Woohoo, now the only one thinking there’s potential for filth in the lyrics, hurrah!
RobS said on May 15, 2008 08:23:
Per didn’t write the lyrics to it did he? I thought i read that VN re-wrote the lyrics themselves.
Roxnox said on May 15, 2008 15:19:
Where i can download it?Someone can upload it on rapidshare plz?
THX!
RobS said on May 16, 2008 07:17:
Such a pity that for an excellent song with a great title, the lyrics really let it down somewhat along with the production aswell.
I’d love to see a lyric from Per with the same title. I’m sure he could do something amazing with it.
Zargo said on May 18, 2008 04:37:
Hated it at first, but after listening to it on their myspace in good quality... it’s no gessle magic trick of course, but it’s definatly still very groovy!
The lyrics are clearly about breaking a girl’s hymen which is a tad crude, but ah well... memorable imagery certainly.
tevensso (moderator) said on May 18, 2008 08:22:
Here’s a good quality snippet as well:

And it does get better with a few listens and better quality.
Jud (moderator) said on May 18, 2008 17:54:
oh my...
I have no problems with covers, using Gessle songs... but if the artist can sing! ;)

Strange at the first listening, diferent arrangies, reduced melody, but after many listening I have to say it sounds good. I like the new sound and driving guitars. But don’ t forget - it’ s not Gessle, it’ s Vanilla Ninja.

i guess its revenge for baladas en espanol? lol cherry tasting cream sounds like a really bad sexual metaphor or an advertisement for a soda. it just proves why per never gives people new material cause noone can do rox/marie/per material like they can. Sad really because if someone high profile chose to cover their song in the way dht did it would be huge, i’m still banking on a celine cover of it must have been love :)
tevensso (moderator) said on July 21, 2008 15:00:
Ha, it seems they realized the mix was rather lame, a remix is out and I quite like this one:

Slightly better, but their voices really suck, one way or another. It sounds like they are reading the lyrics instead of singing. They show no vocal range at all...
roxlad said on July 23, 2008 14:02:
I’m not that impressed with CTTD either because it’s not really their style but other songs like ’Blue Tattoo’ are not bad. I’ll certainly listen to a few of them before judging the quality of the group.
venomthefat said on July 23, 2008 20:32:
Actually, the song wasn’t that great to begin with, sorry. There are many Swedish Per stuff that are much better. The song is monotonous.
Anyway, This is a nice chick-band adaptation. All they need is great promotion, I hope for Per that this one will be successful.
