TWATG re-release out now!
memami said on May 9, 2008 15:48:
hi everybody,
just wanna say that the cd is out in germany already. But it’s released within a jewel case and not in a digipack. Is there any release in sweden with a digipac?
Cheers

I’m still waiting for my copy from Amazon. But the price I paid is worth waiting ;)

I got mine yesterday!! I didn’t expect it would come as a digipack! I’m kind of happy anayway!! The booklet is cool, too! Great interview of Per interviewing Gessle! The sun is out - bring the beer!!

The interview isn’t new though: http://www.gyllenetider.com/ges4.html

Per: I honestly do. But what about Roxette?
Gessle: In October we’ll go into the studio to start work on a new album.

What a pitty that this interview is old 11 years and not 11 hours. :-(

I’m no fan of digipaks they get ruined sooner or later and most of the times they don’t fit in my cd rack. A jewelcase is forever (or at least you can change it) :)
Kerstin said on May 10, 2008 19:48:
I got mine today :)
Honestly I wonder, did they change the release date? Or does it differ from country to country?

Tomos, as I already wrote in the R2R-Forum, it looks mainly the same as the 1997 version.
Nothing spectacular :)

Yes, I’ve read that but still - I’m curious how it looks like :D

Thanks for the info Dave. But just noticed there shipping charges are almost the same cost as the CD!
I’ve emailed cd-wow, will see what they say about it. They’ve sold every other Gessle release up to now, so i don’t see why this one would be different.
rossyrox said on May 13, 2008 14:44:

I’m an aussie and have mostly always ordered through skivhugget which send quickly. There is also a seller on ebay selling the new TWATG with shipping to Australia for AU$28 which is pretty good.
RobS said on May 15, 2008 08:42:
At this stage, i can wait a few weeks if it’s gonna save me the cost of another CD. Still waiting on a reply from them though.
I had a look on ebay, and all i could find was 2 auctions for the original 1997 version.
imazombieinthem... said on May 15, 2008 11:10:
RobS, search worldwide, I can see 4 and one’s around $35au shipped to Australia.

It’s interesting how Per comments on the reasons he has added a lot of demos to the re-release - compared to what he said about the fans’ complaints (about the lack of demos) once the Rox Box was out. I still remember his rather lengthy and somewhat arrogant reply to the fans’ criticism. It looks like, after the flames have subsided, he re-considered his attitude.

I am in Stockholm, returning to UK tomorrow - if you want me to buy it, and then ship it from the UK, let me know and I’ll pick it up at the shop tomorrow.
Then you can send me a paypal :)

Could someone please be so kind and email me beautiful things demo and everyday demo while I wait for my cd?

Finally managed to pick up a copy from a shop in Sweden, although hidden away in the Svensk only section. I’ve only seen Jewel cases so far. Was a bit surprised it was available overseas earlier in the week and not a sign of it in shops here!
Haven’t had time to play the demos yet... enjoying the moment and taking my time.
arnie said on May 16, 2008 19:30:
Demos sent... I will contact Skivhugget to make sure that you really ordered the cd.
I got my “original cd” early this morning he he

“I will contact Skivhugget to make sure that you really ordered the cd”...
Who do you think you are?
My God! Coming from Argentina, you should know not all the local fans in the country have the chance to buy the original CD’s. People who live in glass houses should not throw stones...
Besides that, I don’t think Skivhugget (or any other company) is entitled to reveal such information to you. It’s not your business at all.
seba said on May 17, 2008 01:18:
@7-Twenty-7: DEFAULT_GREEN never said that he bought his record from Skivhugget. I think is only a joke!
RobS said on May 17, 2008 16:16:
So do “I’ll Be Alright” and “There Is My Baby” have different mixes or are they the same as the original?
eclam_85 said on May 17, 2008 19:39:
I just love this re-release. I don’t notice any certain differences on any of the tracks but they do sound better. The original release had too much treble so it was a pain to listen to at high volumes. The mix is much more balanced now. One difference I noticed instantly was the higher level of background noise on intro for “Do you wanna be my baby?”.
The demos are just great, all of them. Someone asked about the “Wish you the best”-demo. “Drum” sounds a little bit different. It got different lyrics in the last chorus and he also changed “september” to “remember” in the first chorus. I still prefer the album version though, hes vocal performance is way better than on the demo.
This re-release is a must have for all PG fans, all those demos is just incredible and is the only reason needed to buy it and you can enjoy a much better mix of the old TWATG tracks. I highly recommend it. I hope it gets available for the rest of the world too so you all can enjoy it.
PiterPam said on May 17, 2008 20:11:
Hmm is there a rustle in Jupiter Calling? At 0:37 you can here this sound. Sounds like an error.
But the whole album is great. Songs like “Do you wanna be my baby?” sounds better. And i like all the demos.
abysmo said on May 23, 2008 16:02:
Compilation is great, bonus songs are perfect, demos are interesting. Good work. But I have two suggestions not regarding the songs but design. Booklet could be more extensive, this new one is worse than the ’97 one. And also I don’t like this 2 CD box, Super Jewel Box (like for Roxette Hits) would be much better. But as I said before, this reedition is good way if you want to rerelase old albums. PS: T-T-T-Take It! demo sounds great. :-)

7-Twenty-7 said on May 24, 2008 14:01:
I don’t like those Super Jewel Box. Is it easy to get a replacement box there if it gets broken? Here they are not, that’s why I prefer the regular boxes.
In addition, I’d prefer “I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend”, “Sheena Is A Punk Rocker” and “Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment” as bonuses instead of crappy old demos, like “Let’s Party” and such. Just an oppinion.
imazombieinthem... said on May 31, 2008 06:41:
I just got my copy and I’m glad resisted the urge to illegally download them.
The demo CD is awesome. Almost sounds like a live CD for the first few tracks, really cool. The demos sound so raw, nice to listen to. The new tracks in the middle are a good change then back to demos from the album.
The main CD does sound clearer and smoother than the original to my ears. Only listened to the main album once, DYWBMB sounds different with that street track turned up at the beginning. T-t-t take it! does sound louder in one channel too!?! I could hear Elvis In Germany had some lower volume percussion tracks than the original.
