Cool.
Can’t wait for the album, so I can listen to the full versions of all the demos. They sounded great. The sound of TWATG is what I miss from Gessle’s recent releases. Hopefully we’ll get an album one day with trashing guitars, tuff drumsounds and haunting bass. And ofcourse if we get the amazing vocals from Marie into it...it would be the best Roxette album ever. :)

Thanks much for the link!!!
The TWATG demos sound pretty much the same with the final, album versions which denotes that TWATG is 99% a Per Gessle album with very less sort of a production done by Clarence and Michael. As for myself, TWATG is Per Gessle’s HIS-story-cal album!
The other tracks, the unheard ones (I really like all of them):
“Beatiful Things, Terrible Things” it has a Beatles sound 99%, there is no notable difference between Per and John Lennon while listening to this one.
“Elvis in Deutschland” from what I heard I would dare to say that is way better than “Elvis In Germany”, there is a perfect match between the lyrics and music.
“Making Love To You” another evidence that many demos sound better than the final ones.
“Detective Jones” another cool storyteller type of a song.
All in all, I can’t wait to own the CD and I think it deserves and international re-release with a new single / video release.

Every Day...this sounds soooo much different from the version Marie sings...I can’t wait to hear the version in full.

@ Robbie, I think you’re absolutely right about Beautiful Things... I kept waiting for the line, “imagine all the people...” :)

Yea, would be great to get an successor of The World According To Gessle, album with crashing guitars and fresh sound. And even much better with Marie.

I’ve listened to some demos (didn’t have the patience to play them all), and all I can say is they are very similar to the final versions. Nothing really exciting there. The phrase ’I can’t wait to own the CD’ does not fit my mood, really. Even if I’d like to get the album someday, just for the sake of having it, but I know this is the kind of material to hear once in a blue-moon. These demos have more testimonial than musical value.
Regarding ’Beautiful Things’, we should be grateful Per gave the lyrics to Marie, to set them to music. The demo puts me to sleep!

“I can’t wait to own the CD” it’s mainly due to the unheard tracks, which I think are really great.

I wish you the best there is before you go to sleep

You can hear some snippets on gessle.com also, but the site it’s loading really really slooooooow like it has no “potencial” owner or administrator.

Have you already realized that amazon.de changed the release date of TWATG to May 9th? And they erased the “[IMPORT]”... Funny.
