The HOTTEST Roxette item money can buy?
CoyRoy said on April 19, 2008 18:22:
You guys have all been collecting Roxette stuff over the years... I was just wondering... What Roxette item are you dying to get? What do you consider the HOTTEST and most rare item of Roxette’s money can buy....
I can’t think of any particular item, but I’d LOVE to get my hands on those US long-pack releases....
(I hope this topic haven’t been covered before - I apologise tremendously in that case).
7-Twenty-7 said on April 19, 2008 20:18:
I am not ’dying’ to get any item in particular. I am in another stage of life now. The fact of having or not having a promo-CD doesn’t make a difference anymore. The regular stuff (the latest albums they have released, a CD single from time to time) is enough for me.
roxtexanet said on April 20, 2008 04:24:
I’d *still* really like to get my hands on MP’s birthday album. The bootleg CD just doesn’t cut it... (-:
Oh! Actually, I thought of something better - that Dutch “Teaser Japanese” 7” with the unique picture sleeve... or a Canadian “Soul Deep” 7” - I keep thinking one day I’ll be in a second hand store and just stumble on it (yeah right!).
CoyRoy said on April 20, 2008 06:44:
I would be happy if I can one day have ALL of Roxette’s singles (in whatever format)
Oblivion said on April 20, 2008 09:25:
I own that thing, its plastic not cardboard and is pretty awesome cost me over £300 back in 2003.

I dont think there is anything I’d want cos I have most of the to die for Roxette or related stuff including the limited edition Mazarin framed print http://www.freewebs.com/oblivionmedia/Picture%20001.jpg
tevensso (moderator) said on April 20, 2008 10:34:
I hope the photo is reversed, if not the picture is!
Tex, I have a Canadian Soul Deep for sale (I think), but it’s in a company sleeve.
ATLTK said on April 20, 2008 19:59:
Tev
its same pic as POP right??? if its I have it
do u hsave other items for sale as well
Jud (moderator) said on April 21, 2008 05:05:
I am not dying to get any item, those times are over since late 90ies ;-) But there are some items of Marie which I am still looking for, getting them in my hands step by step and cheaper than if I would have bought them 5-7 years ago.

I won’t die if I don’t get it, but I’ve been having the hardest time getting hold of the Reveal Remix CDM. Can anyone here hook me up with one?
tevensso (moderator) said on April 21, 2008 16:41:
No you mean the 12” Ted. The 7” has the same sleeve as the Swedish 7”.
ATLTK said on April 21, 2008 19:23:
yes but I asked if it was the 12” you were talking about that u had for sale, atleast I meant that..
anything else for sale?

@barrymieny: You still find the REVEAL-Remix CD at www.gessle.de (worldwide shipping).
bye
CoyRoy said on April 22, 2008 17:30:
The Remix single of “Reveal” is one of Roxette’s finest releases to date, I think. GREAT song and 2 GREAT remixes and the single version of the song is cool, although the chances in the song is very subtle - still great for a die-hard fan!!
Roxette-atic said on April 22, 2008 18:31:
I would probably pay A LOT for the french CDM of Fading Like A Flower.....
alexandru. said on April 22, 2008 18:46:
Does anyone know how much cost “LOVE IS ALL” cd. From this cd is just 75 copies.
tevensso (moderator) said on April 22, 2008 19:00:
Love is All is a CD-R promo so you can’t really put a price on it.
7-Twenty-7 said on April 23, 2008 00:42:
Taxford’s price for “Reveal” is 26 euros. What a rip-off! I suggest to avoid that website (www.gessle.de) because that single doesn’t really worth that money.
If you are in South Africa try www.bengans.se or www.megastore.se
Ebay is also an option.
barrymieny said on April 23, 2008 08:08:
The last one on auction on eBay went for €21 (which I didn’t get...) and his other prices are in line with other shops, so I’m not complaining. Trust me, I’ve looked all over for the single without success.
AntiMario said on April 23, 2008 12:11:
Think it was Church Of Your Heart (New AC Mix) CD that popped out for 10$ buyout and I was browsing ebay at the right time.. but oh well gief LTYH (AC) for any price tbh...
CoyRoy said on April 23, 2008 16:07:
Does anyone actually HAVE the “Love Is All” single?? I want to get my hands on that longer version of Love Is All.... Any help?
rossyrox said on April 23, 2008 16:16:
I have the Dutch Teaser Japanese 7” under the “Roxette” name, the Peter Pop and the Helicopters 7” and the French FLAF CD which I guess are pretty rare.
Apart from that £300 neon Joyride thing that I really want, I’d like The Look on 7” clear - wasn’t there only 1 of them?
7-Twenty-7 said on April 23, 2008 19:21:
rossyrox, how pretentious you are... does it make you better? Rare, and they collect as much dust as nothing else.
rossyrox said on April 23, 2008 22:22:
Apologies, my intention was not to be pretentious, why did you not flame the guy who spent £300 on a neon sign then put pictures of it on here?
I added comments to a thread that ended up discussing who has what and thought my input was on par with everyone elses!
http://www.freewebs.com/rossyrox/index.htm :)
tevensso (moderator) said on April 24, 2008 06:28:
There are at least 3 clear The Looks. Still pretty damn rare.
I have the Love is All CD, it’s approximately 55 seconds longer, but it’s just a continuation of the chorus over and over again.
CoyRoy said on April 24, 2008 18:07:
Yes, I’ve heard the song before... Any way you can share it with me? I love that song and the longer it is, the better!! LOL
Roxette-atic said on April 24, 2008 20:20:
My most expencive record is the Canadian Soul Deep 12”....75 pounds. But one of my biggest successful purchase was the Dont Bore Us- Get to The Chorus! UK 2-LP...I paid only 18 euro for that one :P.
sandyam said on April 25, 2008 16:20:
I love to get the promo cd single of ’Soy Una Mujer’.
It has has such a beautiful sleeve and besides it’s very rare.
It popped up on Ebay the other day but not in very good condition so I didn’t bid.
My favourite rare items that I own are I call your name 12” single and Fading like a flower French cd single. I so love the covers of both items.
7-Twenty-7 said on April 25, 2008 18:07:
“I love to get the promo cd single of ’Soy Una Mujer’. It has has such a beautiful sleeve...”
Those decaying roses make me feel sick. I never liked them. They are very present in ’Baladas en español’ too, one of the worst Roxette album-artworks ever.
sandyam said on April 26, 2008 10:20:
I agree with you about the Baladas en Espanol sleeve. It’s not very interesting at all.
Maybe I do like the single sleeve this much because the item has become so rare. You hardly see it ever...
sandyam said on April 26, 2008 17:23:
@ tevensso
Where did you actually got the Love is all cd? I have never seen it anywhere.
CoyRoy said on April 27, 2008 18:02:
Will it still be piracy if you share the longer Love Is All with us? Seeing that we will never get our hands on the single anyway? Just asking....
tevensso (moderator) said on April 27, 2008 18:11:
I doubt it would be legal to upload it, sorry.
I have a copy of the “real” single, but as the real single in itself is a CD-R then my CD is just as “genuine” as the real one. :) Do you follow?
Kerstin said on April 27, 2008 18:51:
Well, there’s no Rox item I am dying to get cos I am not a big collector ;)
One thing I really did want to have for ages was the Rarities cd which I finally got for about 13 Euro (normally the price was over 40 Euro at eBay)
Breathe8 said on April 27, 2008 19:44:
Does anyone have a backstage pass from “En Handig Man” tour for sell? Maybe I would be interested. Thanks.
sandyam said on April 27, 2008 20:09:
tevensso, I don’t get it. You mean that the love is all promo cd single is cd-r in promo sleeve?
tevensso (moderator) said on April 27, 2008 20:18:
Yes, the Love is All promo is a CD-R in a white sleeve with a Santa Claus stuck on it.
7-Twenty-7 said on April 27, 2008 22:03:
Sorry, but is correct to say it’s a promo? The aim of the CD was not to promote the song in anyway. From whay I could read, it was more a Christmas gift to the EMI staff. So, they just burned some CD-R’s, put them in a plain, white sleeve, and signed it. That’s all.
imazombieinthem... said on April 28, 2008 01:07:
It was promo(ting) Christmas :) A Roxette Review has pic of the sleeve and review of the promo cd. Who really did get these cd’s as I have never seen one for sale internationally anywhere. They would be worth quite a bit to the collectors so you would think some EMI staff with a signed Roxette cd would of cashed in by now. If you have seen them for sale, how much have they gone for?
tevensso (moderator) said on April 28, 2008 06:57:
There’s a picture of one in The Look for Roxette. The “serial number” is of course the manufacturing number of the CD-R.
Sascha said on April 28, 2008 16:42:
Were there CD burners already in 1993? Thought they came up around five years later and CDs always had to be pressed before. Anyway, I’d say it was an internal promo for Roxette and their upcoming album, not for the song itself.
tevensso (moderator) said on April 28, 2008 17:09:
http://www.evensson.com/temp/Xmas_greet.mp3 The song itself is 6.58. According to iTunes the normal version is 6.44 so it’s a mere 14 seconds longer.
memami said on April 28, 2008 17:37:

Well, one of the items I really love in my collection is the “Second Look” Look Sharp! Vinyl picture disc. It’s pretty hard to find, but so beautiful to display! If you’re lucky you might be able to locate one though...

I really really wanted to have the “Jag skulle vilja tänka...” Promo...And finally succeeded...(with some help of a pay-pal-using- friend). Yippieh...my rarest item in my collection...might be the original sunglasses from Per from the “The Look” video. And I really love my original Pearls of passion CD from 1986 which I found in record shop back in 1990.(so many memories about that time...)
AURYTE said on May 2, 2008 05:34:
@tev: thank you so much for the snippet. I wish it were Christmas now :)

@Auryte: Yep...I’ve won it thru a magazine back in 1994 and there came a little piece of Jimmy-Fun-paper with Pers handwriting on it..it was acutally a note for Dimberg but they’ve sent it with the sunglasses. :)

in english: DIM. These are the sunglasses from “The Look” Video. Something for the guy from “Kvitt eller dubbelt.”
I found out that “Kvitt eller dubbelt” is or was a TV show in Sweden but I don’t know the host of course so..what ever Per meant with this little insider-joke. :) :)
Anyone got a pic of that guy?
tevensso (moderator) said on May 3, 2008 21:30:
I guess he meant for a player in the game show “Double or Nothing,” but I can’t remember anyone taking the subject Per or Roxette.
Roxette-atic said on May 4, 2008 00:39:
There was a guy on that show that had Roxette as his subject. years ago.
