You guys have all been collecting Roxette stuff over the years... I was just wondering... What Roxette item are you dying to get? What do you consider the HOTTEST and most rare item of Roxette’s money can buy....

I can’t think of any particular item, but I’d LOVE to get my hands on those US long-pack releases....

(I hope this topic haven’t been covered before - I apologise tremendously in that case).

I am not ’dying’ to get any item in particular. I am in another stage of life now. The fact of having or not having a promo-CD doesn’t make a difference anymore. The regular stuff (the latest albums they have released, a CD single from time to time) is enough for me.

Oh! Actually, I thought of something better - that Dutch “Teaser Japanese” 7” with the unique picture sleeve... or a Canadian “Soul Deep” 7” - I keep thinking one day I’ll be in a second hand store and just stumble on it (yeah right!).

The Remix single of “Reveal” is one of Roxette’s finest releases to date, I think. GREAT song and 2 GREAT remixes and the single version of the song is cool, although the chances in the song is very subtle - still great for a die-hard fan!!

Love is All is a CD-R promo so you can’t really put a price on it.

Taxford’s price for “Reveal” is 26 euros. What a rip-off! I suggest to avoid that website (www.gessle.de) because that single doesn’t really worth that money.

If you are in South Africa try www.bengans.se or www.megastore.se
Ebay is also an option.

The last one on auction on eBay went for €21 (which I didn’t get...) and his other prices are in line with other shops, so I’m not complaining. Trust me, I’ve looked all over for the single without success.

I have the Dutch Teaser Japanese 7” under the “Roxette” name, the Peter Pop and the Helicopters 7” and the French FLAF CD which I guess are pretty rare.

Apart from that £300 neon Joyride thing that I really want, I’d like The Look on 7” clear - wasn’t there only 1 of them?

I have the Love is All CD, it’s approximately 55 seconds longer, but it’s just a continuation of the chorus over and over again.

My most expencive record is the Canadian Soul Deep 12”....75 pounds. But one of my biggest successful purchase was the Dont Bore Us- Get to The Chorus! UK 2-LP...I paid only 18 euro for that one :P.

It has has such a beautiful sleeve and besides it’s very rare.
It popped up on Ebay the other day but not in very good condition so I didn’t bid.

My favourite rare items that I own are I call your name 12” single and Fading like a flower French cd single. I so love the covers of both items.

Those decaying roses make me feel sick. I never liked them. They are very present in ’Baladas en español’ too, one of the worst Roxette album-artworks ever.

Maybe I do like the single sleeve this much because the item has become so rare. You hardly see it ever...

I have a copy of the “real” single, but as the real single in itself is a CD-R then my CD is just as “genuine” as the real one. :) Do you follow?

One thing I really did want to have for ages was the Rarities cd which I finally got for about 13 Euro (normally the price was over 40 Euro at eBay)

Yes, the Love is All promo is a CD-R in a white sleeve with a Santa Claus stuck on it.

Sorry, but is correct to say it’s a promo? The aim of the CD was not to promote the song in anyway. From whay I could read, it was more a Christmas gift to the EMI staff. So, they just burned some CD-R’s, put them in a plain, white sleeve, and signed it. That’s all.

It was promo(ting) Christmas :) A Roxette Review has pic of the sleeve and review of the promo cd. Who really did get these cd’s as I have never seen one for sale internationally anywhere. They would be worth quite a bit to the collectors so you would think some EMI staff with a signed Roxette cd would of cashed in by now. If you have seen them for sale, how much have they gone for?

There’s a picture of one in The Look for Roxette. The “serial number” is of course the manufacturing number of the CD-R.

Were there CD burners already in 1993? Thought they came up around five years later and CDs always had to be pressed before. Anyway, I’d say it was an internal promo for Roxette and their upcoming album, not for the song itself.

I really really wanted to have the “Jag skulle vilja tänka...” Promo...And finally succeeded...(with some help of a pay-pal-using- friend). Yippieh...my rarest item in my collection...might be the original sunglasses from Per from the “The Look” video. And I really love my original Pearls of passion CD from 1986 which I found in record shop back in 1990.(so many memories about that time...)

@Auryte: Yep...I’ve won it thru a magazine back in 1994 and there came a little piece of Jimmy-Fun-paper with Pers handwriting on it..it was acutally a note for Dimberg but they’ve sent it with the sunglasses. :)

in english: DIM. These are the sunglasses from “The Look” Video. Something for the guy from “Kvitt eller dubbelt.”

I found out that “Kvitt eller dubbelt” is or was a TV show in Sweden but I don’t know the host of course so..what ever Per meant with this little insider-joke. :) :)
Anyone got a pic of that guy?
