unlogical results in swedish album years chart 2007

According swedish albums years charts Per´s last album obtianed 7th place for year 2007. It is sure that this album sold 3 platinom (more than 120.000 copies) and this result is only from year 2007. Then I dont understand how can be placed cds from second to sixt position in better places than Per when they got maximum 2 platinas. Can anybody explain this?

EHM sold 3 x platinum according to here. But, if that’s not the case, they might have dropped the boundaries for platinum sales that years, so Per may have sold 3 X platinum in the new standard, whereas the top 6 have sold 2 platinum in the old, which in turn is more than 3 times platinum in the new

The answer is simple my friends. Platina awards only show how many copies that has been shipped from the recordcompany, not how many that has been sold! Hitlistan where Per is no 7 is a list of who sold ths most! It shows us that there are a lot of copies of EHM that still are laying around in the stores.

So it means that SOAP (sung in english) in 2005 which obtained two platinum for the 120.000 copies (now it is 3 platinum) and was the third best selling album in 2005 had in Sweeden probably bigger success than EHM which was sung in swedish. It can be very interesting finding for Per and his new projects:) On the other hand it can also prove that EHM was extremally overated from the stores and it was not as sucesfull as we thought, what is sad.

It doesn’t matter to me it it was the 700th most sold album in Sweden during 2007! I love the album. Maybe it’s time to hang up the Swedish song writing pad for a few years Per?? Who knows what he plans next though??? Only him!! No doubt I’ll love it though!! :-)

Slightly out of topic, but I also thing EHM was great, it’s probably the album I can listen to most times without getting tired. 7th is not so bad, right? And I didn’t know SOAP was third in 2005, which sounds amazing... and shows that the album did actually get some attention, not only from us, the fans (who, I may say, loved it).

Well, how do you know the top 6 only got 2 platinum disks? They could have sold more, just more slowly after the initial peak in sales.
