Those are the new chart positions for Marie and Per’s latest releases, in Sweden. Although I wasn’t expecting “Tid För Tystnad” to be a mega-seller, I have to say I expected it to do better than this (not that Marie cares, I’m sure!). “Pratar Med Min Musli” at #47 seems about right, though, given it’s single #3 (and not a particularly good choice, in my opinion!).

#35 is not so bad for a compilation of old songs (plus a new one). I didn’t expect it would chart at all, specially if you consider there’s no promotion. When ’Äntligen’ was released it was a very different scenario: a lot of promotion was done, videos were filmed and there was a tour in the way too.
Talking about Per, ’Jag skulle vilja tänka en underbar tanke’ didn’t chart so well. It spent 7 weeks in the chart only, peaking at #29. It was one of the least successful Gessle singles.

I’m not surprised about these achievements in the chart. Neither Per’s nor Marie’s new singles are being played on the radio. However, I’ve heard that there are a few posters in the shops, promoting Marie’s compilation :)

Anyway..I didnt excpect so much from neither one of the releases, but i did belived Marie would chart better than #35...

I am afraid “Pratar med min müsli” fell off the chart after only 2 weeks. Not a very good performance. It peaked at 47 in the first week.
Marie’s “Tyd for tystnad” climbs up to nr. 32. Per’s “EHM på turné” DVD falls to nr. 6

I’m not surprised that Per’s DVD is falling down. The other day I was listening to the Swedish radio and a DJ told that Per’s DVD was only interesting to the fans.

There’ s only live show, one videoclip and some 2 minutes long homemade videos on this DVD. I miss there some documents from recording an album and behind the scene. Try to compare it with Mazarin DVD. I bought Mazarin and GT DVDs, but not this one.

As far as I know Sverige Topp 40 is a Billboard-alike chart, that is combining airplay with sales. So I assume this End of the Year chart should combine airplay with sales as well.

I finally got my copy in the post yesterday and watched it last night. During the first half, I had mixed feelings, mainly due to Helena’s vocals on a few of the songs. Om Du Vara Bil and Vilket Har.. was, in my opinion, ruined by this. The second half (after the band presentation) was excellent, and the version of Min Helsing was excellent. The concert stage was excellent and looked much bigger than Mazarin’s set. Apart from my earlier comment, I really enjoyed the show!!
Couldn’t help notice that Per seems to be looking more his age as well.... Also, noticed a couple of audience members that appeared on both Mazarin’s and GT 25 DVD!!
