What do we have to do to get Rox live?

Hey guys, this is a toppic that has been open thousands, if not, millions of times but it seems the record company is not interested in releasing what fans have asked for once and again: roxette live in concert. We have Per, Marie, GT, then why not Roxette, who has a wider audience?
The concert in Australia (live-ism) is far in our memories and, moreover, it’s not been released in dvd officially, so it’s time we get some of the latest rox concerts (the room service tour).
If Per or Marie read this site, from time to time, then it would be nice of them to “force” the record company to release some of this material.
Guess it will be released sometime in the future, but...why waiting so much?

What I’ve never understood is: why wasn’t any of Roxette concerts in South America released on DVD or VHS? The audience rocked there :D I got astonished when I saw these performances on youtube.com for the first time.

The “Room Service Tour” sucked (and it was not filmed properly, according to the sources). So I’d prefer older material being repackaged on DVD, decently.
It could be “Sweden Live/Look Sharp Live” together, “Live-ism” and “Crash! Boom! Live!”. That’s good enough for me.

i would love to have a Room Service Tour material but i´d prefer thousand times to be an European concert filmed than a South American one. There are many concerts filmed in South America (just take a look at youtube) but there are no live stuff in Europe (except some concerts in Stockholm).
I think it´s time for a live stuff from European Tour (specially from Room Service Tour). Maybe from Germany or Spain (the Room Service Tour in Madrid was amazing).
Gachy said on October 27, 2007 16:26:
Let me say you can’t compare Youtube with a real DVD. To my knowledge, only 3 South American concerts were ever filmed: Buenos Aires (Argentina) 1992, Montevideo (Uruguay) 1992 and Lima (Peru) 1995. And they were never commercially available, but broadcasted on TV. Like the Zurich (1991) and Stockholm (2001) concerts, which are European. There is live stuff from Europe, as you can see.
By the way, I doubt the Spanish concerts from 2001 were filmed.

I agree with Gachy. You can’t compare youtube.com videos with DVD. Don’t get me wrong, I’d like to have a DVD from Room Service tour. But I also think that South American performances deserve DVD. The audience rocked there!!!
@Gachy: wasn’t concert in Brasil during Join The Joyride Tour also filmed?

The concert in Sydney from the Join The Joyride Tour, wasn’t released?
AURYTE said on October 27, 2007 21:44:
@Debora: Yes, the concert from Sydney was released as VHS and it’s title is Live-ism. However, it would be great to get this concert on DVD!

@gachy: i didn´t compare youtube with a real dvd, but if those videos are in youtube is because, obviously, someone has that concerts to upload them there. I know for a fact that there are few bootlegs (dvd) from South America: Argentina,Uruguay, Chile and Brasil (at least that the ones i KNOW that exist, i don´t know if there´s other in Peru) but i just know Zurich and Stockholm from Europe (not talking about audio bootlegs cos i know there are more as Barcelona, Moscuw or Praga). That´s why i said i prefered Europe but that´s just my opinion.
I doubt too that they filmed their concerts in Spain and they should regret that cos were incredible (all the fans i know from all over the world who were there told the same), but i was just writing my wish here.

The European audiences are, usually, quite cold and silent. I was watching the last EHM concert today (the one that was filmed in Stockholm) and the audience was hardly noticeable. Except for a few applauses, I thought they were bored for a while. They didn’t show any feelings, it was like they were watching TV. It’s very different from the way it is here.
From Europe, “Sweden Live” (Norrköping) and “Look Sharp Live” (Borgholm) were also available.

That may be the case, but why not release the old VHS only concerts. They’re already out there, just bring them up to date. Most Rox fans would love to have a copy on DVD.
I cannot see why, now especially when there is nothing rox-related on the horizon they can’t do this.

“... To my knowledge, only 3 South American concerts were ever filmed: Buenos Aires (Argentina) 1992, Montevideo (Uruguay) 1992 and Lima (Peru) 1995...”
Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) 1992 was also broadcasted on TV at the time.
And I also would like to have live DVDs from Roxette. Can´t imagine why EMI didn´t release C!B!B! South Africa, Live-ISM 91, Live in Sweden 88 and LS! Live yet. And, of course, Room Service live in Stockholm 2001. What a shame!
All Roxette concerts/tours were fab...

Could anyone, that has Roxette performances in South America on DVD, contact me :D

I agree, why can’t we get Roxette live here?!! I so miss ’em here. I went to both the Joyride and C!B!B! shows here in Melbourne and they were fantastic!! It’s such a shame they have no promotion here, otherwise we would’ve had a “Room Service” and 20th anniversary tour. If Roxette are readin’ this, us Aussies miss yous!! Pls come back.....before you leave!!
CoyRoy said on October 30, 2007 10:10:
Oh oh oh oh - I’ve been SO wondering about this for years. Maybe it will come in time - according to Marie, Roxette is over, they probably will never release an official press release stating that Roxette is over and done with - EMI is maybe saving those live recordings to cash in on Roxette LONG after they have ended it all. Who knows....
But I would stand on my knees and beg Per, Marie or EMI to release their live shows on dvd for us to enjoy over and over again.
I would LOVE to see everything they ever recorded live... C’mon - don’t be so stuck-up!!
Breathe8 said on October 30, 2007 12:13:
Yes, CoyRoy, I also would love to see everything they ever recorded live.
To RS tour: Roxette wanted to record some south african show on Dec 2001 but these shows were cancelled. The main reason was Sep 11th.
Gachy said on October 30, 2007 17:14:
Yes, I heard about it. Per was afraid that some crazy terrorist (disguised like a drag flight-attendant) could crash their plane in the middle of the Kalahari...
CoyRoy said on October 31, 2007 15:40:
I live in the Kalahari and I can promise you, and Per, for that matter, that the only things people here shoot at, are live animals they would want to eat up. Not humans.... LOL

yes it‘s time to get rox live again.
