Roxette Memorabilia

Hi there!! Just wanting to know what everyone’s favourite piece of Rox memorabilia. This can include rare items, cds, concert merchandise, certain autographs,etc...
Mine will have to be some rare picture cards I boughtt, while in Sweden in ’98. They came in a nice folder with Roxette on it. I, also, have their postage stamp which I bought there, too. I bought the whole set intact. I sweet talked a Swedish music shop owner to sell me the black silk Roxette oyride tour scarf. Same as the Look Sharp ones held up by fans in the Look Sharp Live video. Wish I had that one, too. I treasure my photo with Per, too. :-)

My “Tourism” cd because it’s the only Rox cd I didn’t buy at a German store but in the Netherlands. We made a one week school trip to Grouw and Amsterdam at that time....

I Love The Sound Of Crashing Guitars

I ’ve won the original sunglasses from “The Look”-video from Per back in 1994 or was it 1995???? Got the case signed by Per 1998 and he looked really confused as I showed him his ex-sunglasses.... :D

I also love my original Pearls of passion CD from 1986 which I bought in a normal shop for a normal price 1990 and there didn’t know that it was that rare.....

Also there are some autographs that remind me of some special moments.....

mmmm I don’t think I can choose between any of my stuff......my joyride album with “I remember you” included, not because is a rare item, I think it means a lot to me ........I bought that cd several times... so you can imagine how used and worn out it was, none of those copies had included the song “IRY” , but it was a surprise, because my father bought it for me when he was at the record store. He bought Joyride and it was the day that C!B!B! was released, so I will never forget when he said, “I saw this one2 and I think you don’t have it”. I was happy that day new roxette album and new song from an album I thougth I new.

The ticket of the Roxette concert in Cordoba, Argentina in 1992
I was so young and I sang all the songs, so many memories

I like my signed Peter Pop and the Helicopters 7” and my Roxette titled Teaser Japanese 7” but they are not really Roxette as such.

The item I am most attached to has to be the Joyride album tape as it has a story behind it and it was my first Roxette purchase.

Were you one of the fans who were outside tits’n’ass studio in ’98? It was when Per and MP were doin’ a demo of “Anyone”.

Who me? No, I didn’t get my record signed, I’ve never met Per or Marie :(

I’ve just remembered this, if I had one it would be my fave piece of Roxette stuff ever.....http://eil.com/shop/moreinfo.asp?catalogid=175683

Can’t you like a normal thing, like a normal CD album or a normal single? I wonder why you always have to like the most bizarre stuff, like that creepy display... Sorry, but it’s a little “too much” imho.

I don’t have anything signed :-( So for me it would probably be the tickets from the one and only concert I went to.

Also probably my Tourism cassette, seeing it was the first official Roxette release that i bought. It came with two inserts as well (not sure how/why).

I don’t know why I have the strange feeling that a signature will damage my cd or Lp or whatever...., I think i prefer my stuff like new instead of signed.........I think I would regret it later.......

@modernatider....you can get other things signed! I don’t like signed CD covers too..they are too small and the signing destroys the picture...maybe that is just MY little sick opinion but...well...that’s me! :)
Vinyl is better for signing. There is enough space!
my only signed CD is the promocd of “a thing about you”. It as no picture. ;D

I agree, I am not a big fan of signed items, however sometimes things come around so infrequently that buying a signed one is the only option!

This is interesting, out of my price range....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ROXETTE-Band-Crew-Tour-Itinerary-1991-92_W0QQitemZ14...

Includes information for tour dates, venues, hotels and travel arrangements for both band and crew.

Yawn... do you really care about THAT?

Yes I do, I think it would be interesting, maybe I could trace their steps, staying in the same hotels, driving the same routes and dining in the same places.

Very interesting, but I wonder what’s the point in doing all that...15 years later. I am afraid you won’t find them in the corridors. The most original way to waste money, though.

My favourite item of Roxette is my Dance Passion vinyl. Though it is my dad’s, but I’ve stold it! It is very rare I think..

I would’ve loved it if Roxette signed my cds for me! It wouldn’t bother me. It’d add value to it, not that I’d ever sell ’em though. If I ever did, it would sell fao more mulla. :-) I wanted Per to sign the Roxette and Gyllene Tider books I have, but he wasn’t at his studio 1st time I went. The next day I went, when he was there, I didn’t bother bringin ’em, ’coz I wasn’t 100% about his arrival. Too much to lug around with me all day. What a spew!!

When I come to think of it, I guess, it´s my Tourism CD as it was my first Roxette record.

@Julz: Welcome to the forum :)

För ännu doftar kärlek och hoppet blir till tro

Sorry Gachy I was having a laugh.

Here’s my list:

Tourism (2-LP version) - Not only is this rare where I live, but I think it’s cool because there are more photos inside that you don’t see in the CD sleeve.

Fading Like a Flower (Everytime You Leave) (7”)

The Look (7”)

The Look (12”) - I think any Roxette release on vinyl is quite rare here these days.

Church of Your Heart (Cassingle) - Same as above.

Any Roxette single I own on CD (“How Do You Do!”, “Almost Unreal”, “Sleeping in My Car”, “Crash! Boom! Bang!”, “You Don’t Understand Me”, “June Afternoon”) - Roxette CD singles are hard to come by around here. I haven’t even seen the “One Wish” single here yet...

Pearls of Passion ’97 - I had this album imported, as you can’t get it here (sadly).

I also have a couple things from old magazines that I cut out of and pasted into a book once. Such as song lyrics (from Smash Hits Magazine, I think), an article about Per with a few questions & answers, but not many. Things like that.

My favourite Roxette items in MY collection would be (in order):

1. Pearls Of Passion lp
2. Dance Passion lp
3. Crash!Boom!Bang! cd - it was my first Roxette cd I ever bought.
4. Rarities - I’ve been looking 7 years for that cd before I finally got one!!
5. The RoxBox - it’s just FREAKIN’ fabulous!!!!

If someone dared to steal one of these items, I would hunt him/her down and and rabid dogs will be feasting on his/her flesh. LOL

CoyRoy

I have the How do you do Single with a rare Roxette Sticker on the CD case and I also have The Look Sharp as LP with Poster inside and I also have The RoxBox which is fantastic!

Have Fun!!!

Thx Auryte. I been slack this past week. I love me Roxbox! Haven’t seen thge dvd yet. Haven’t had the time. That boxset is another valuable part of me Rox collection.

I have 2 versions of the Pearls Of Passion cd. 1 is the original cd release and the other is the re-release in ’98 with bonus tracks on it. It’s got the original song of “It Must’ve Been Love” It’s called “It must have been love Christamas for the broken hearted)”

For me Marie FREDRIKSSON, BOX-SET

I have not get the Roxbox yet... and I don’t see that happening in the near future. Still angry about the crappy tracklist and the cheap-looking cover.

If I may add 3 other items to my list:

1. My Fireworks cd single
2. My Marie Fredriksson Boxset
3. My Live-Ism vhs - I finally got one (original) last year on e-bay. Been looking since 1994 for one... Congratulate me!!

BTW - the Roxbox might look ’cheap’ from the outside, but when you hold it in your hand and page thru it, you know you’ve got the ULTIMATE Roxette experience in your hand and then you suddenly understand the “crappy” tracklist.

Anyway, not enough for me. I expect more from such an expensive package. And it’s not that ultimate since a lot of worth tracks are missing. Maybe I’ll buy it if it finally hits the sales bin someday.

Gachy, you are a very negative person... strap on ’n happy face!! Enjoy the joyride!
But I can understand why you don’t like the RoxBox, but I can assure you, it’s a great item to have - I can’t wait to buy another one!!

The joyride was over long time ago, the Roxbox is more like a short ride in a ramshackle carousel!!! Hehe.

Why do you have to buy another one? Have you ruined it already? I suggest you not to use it as a hot plate...

I know what I’m tempted to use one for!!! ;-)
