What do you think about Jimmy Monnell aka Shooting Star? I am listening his Hey Mr DJ remixes right now and I have to admit that he can make Per’ s songs danceable. In 2005 he continue where Clarence Ofwerman begans back in 1985. His works for Roxette (Real Sugar, MATAH) and SOAP is really fresh but still very Gessleish. In my opinion this guy could be very good producer or mix engineer for next Roxette / Gessle album. I know that Per is somewhere else with his preferable sound right now, but I have to say that. How about you?

OK, didn’ t say it right. I meant that JM could be co-producer, like Mikael Illbert on Have A Nice Day or Christoffer Lundquist on last compilations. Only to help add some fresh feeling as did Mikael Illbert in 1999. Clarence is of course irreplaceable, this is the right man behind Roxette.

Jimmy monel (aka: shooting star) produced the debut album of The Sounds, Living in America. That’s one of my fav album, with an astonishing sound. i really like his work.

Yeah, he is an outstanding talent. It’s a pity that his former band “The April tears” don’t work together anymore.
His influence on Roxette was great, he put Roxette to a very modern sound. and I think not only on his remixes (dancing plumber or milk and toast and honey), but on his great work at the Room Service Album.

Loved his remixes. As far as his work on RS, it was a good album. But i wonder what it would have been like with Illbert or just Clarence producing.

In my opinon is the best producer to rox/PG albums. He is the sound of ROXETTE!. He, (alone!!) must to producer the next album
