So many great B-Sides, why no on one album?

Hi, right now I’ m listening my collection of Roxette B-Sides and demos, including cca 95 tracks. Some of them are really amazing, superb. I know that Per don’ t like releasing demos, but some of them sounds almost like final versions, also some B-Sides are as good as best songs from regular albums.
It’ s pitty that there isn’ t some Big Rarities album with best of them. I have all these songs on my harddisk, but if it will be released, I would be the first who’ ll buy it. With good booklet, little story about every song, some pics. Something like great christmas present for fans. What do you think about this idea?
Possible tracklist songs:
2 Cinnamon Street
All I Ever Wanted
Better Off On Her Own
Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla
Crazy About You
Dancing On The Nighwire
Don’ t Believe In Accidents
Do You Wanna Go With Me
Entering Your Heart
Every Day
Happy Together
I Do Believe
It Hurts
Makin’ Love to You
Myth
One Is Such A Lonely Number
Remember
Seduce Me
See Me
Something In The System
Stay
Sweet Thing
The Sweet Hallo The Sad Goodbye
The Voice
The Weight Of The World
Turn Me On

I think it would be nice to have all the B-sides and whatever else in an official release, So long as it’s well put together with background info on all the tracks etc.
Although there’s still other things that i’d like to see, like DVD releases of the concerts for instance!!
We all know that if this did happen TDR would be full of posts about Per making us buy stuff that we’ve already got. :-p

No thanks, I dont need another cash in. I’m a bit fed of paying for the same songs 2, 3, 4, 5 times.
As Rob said, I would LOVE a live DVD though. Its quite sad actually that for Roxette, which was always a live, touring band, there is still not a live DVD out there!

ncurran: Well, there’s b-sides that has yet to be released on CD so I definitely wouldn’t mind it.

Well, all songs from Konstpaus was released on itself compilations, singles, eps before during 89-97. But all together in one album sounds great and Konstpaus is probably my favourite GT album. This is the main idea, to have these songs together, in one great compilation.

I am not possitive about a such a compilation. After all it’s material previously released, so no big surprises for us there. And I don’t know if the general public would spend their money in a collection of Roxette B-sides. That’s more a product aimed for the fans, and we already got many compilations in a row!

Yes, it’s a good idea, but I think that better put on the album B-Sides.
My collection is (Room Service album):
01. Real Sugar
02. The Center of the Heart
03. Milk and Toast and Honey
04. Jefferson
05. Little Girl
06. Looking for Jane
07. Bringing Me Down to My Knees
08. Make My Head Go Pop
09. Try (Just a Little Bit Harder)
10. Fool
11. It Takes You No Time to Get Here
12. My World, My Love, My Live
13. Entering Your Heart (extended version)
14. The Weight Of The World
15. Every Day
So B-Sides album isn’t popular...

My favorite B-side is “See Me”. I think this song became a b-side because it’s the only song in this style, so it didn’t fit on the CBB album.
Most songs were rocky, while “See Me” is almost a new age kinda song. A bit Miriam Stockly or Enya.

Gachy said: “...we already got many compilations in a row!”
That’s very true. But if it was released as a bonus with a Live DVD or something like that it would be a great addition.

Well, I still believe there are few unreleased Roxette songs we’ve never heard but how can I be sure?
I wouldn’t mind buying this B-sides album, but they could add some demos we’ve never heard. I’d like to hear Happy Together demo. Either it’s the same as the final version, or it’s completely different :)

I don’t think they’d even THINK about releasing another compilation album again, be it b-sides, hits, video’s, remixes, ANY sort of compilation which includes songs that are already available! People would hunt them down! lolol
Will be interesting to see (if anything) what they come up with for the 25th Anniversary in 2011.

ncurran: B-sides from 12”-ers from the PoP-album, possibly a couple from Look Sharp as well. Not to mention almost the entire Dance Passion EP.
ncurran said on August 24, 2007 20:45:
So you’re basically talking about a remix album? Not interested in that either, sorry
rox-kuryliw said on August 24, 2007 23:16:

I think a B-Side album would be good, it was successful for Kent!
