Check out the first “teaser” off his next double albun due in August, “Who Would Have Thought” : http://www.myspace.com/darrenhayes
There’s also an animated video on www.darrenhayes.com. Both, the video and the song are amazing! This guy’s definitely going in the right direction!

I love darren hayes but I do hope this is not his first single cause it’s kinda just ok

it’s obvious why he went independent, this isn’t meant ot be main stream but it’s better than his last solo album whihc really was all over the place. This is different, I’m still more keen on Delores o’riodans new one ordinary day..she’s brought back the cranberries sound and made it all he own
IV_ROX said on April 18, 2007 13:51:
I don’t think it’s going to be a single, he says it’s a teaser off the album, which is not dropping till August. It’s not commercial, but it’s still very melodic, esp. ” I had to find you, I had to let you know....” part, and the lyrics are good!

I was also lucky to see Savage Garden right after their 2nd album was released and they were fantastic, his solo album was okay and I’m hoping this one is much better, will have to check it out...that was one fine man...lol

I gotta say though, the first time I heard “I Want You” by Savage Garden, I thought it was Roxette!

Hey!
Just heard the songs... nothing new, I think he’s still heading the same direction he’s been moving towards to since SG is over. I really like both of his two last albums, definately.
If there’s someone interested in DH please contact me, my MSN is under my profile... I’m kinda out of date with his latest releases.
Have you noticed that Darren’s “STEP INTO THE LIGHT” has a base that’s VERY similar to our beloved duo’s “THE CENTRE OF THE HEART”??? Shocking!!!
See ya all around!
Ezequiel.

Well hell YES!! I have just come on to say this!!!
Exactly like a sample from COTH, Per did you approve this?
coyboyusa said on May 18, 2007 12:35:
i guess immitation is flattery? Hinestly tho whatis it with gay solo artist work alwysbeing very downbeat, depressing and self depricating...the guy just got married to the supposed love of his life yet the lyrics are full of nothing but ” empty” Z”hollow” “nothingness”... who the hell wants to listen to that throught the course of a double album?
bigbigbig_love said on May 18, 2007 13:31:
I think he is talking about how happy he is now and that he realises he has never been in love....unitl now of course.

Wow, I just realised I missed the chance to buy tickets for his Chicago show! *stupido! stupido! stupido!*
Anyway, Step Into The Light doesn’t sound like TCOTH to me. I see( hear) your point but, it is more like the latest Madonna if anything.
Cheers!

Hey everyone!
Finally I got Darren’s new album yesterday. It’s amazing the amount of songs, it’s like 25 songs (it’s a 2-CDs album) and most of those go past the 4 minutes long.
The style goes where Darren’s been heading in his last albums, specially in Spin. It’s quite more electronic than Savage Garden, not too many guitars. I have to say I’m hypnotized by several tracks from CD1 and I can’t let go, I still haven’t heard to CD2.
Very smart and personal lyrics (How to build a time machine, Bombs up in my face) as well.
You have to listen to the last song from CD1, after all the electronic dance-tracks it comes an acoustic song with great lyrics and a karma-chorus.
I’m interested in finding his solo-DVDs, if there’s a fan out there willing to help me (or if you just wanna talk), please get in touch with me via MSN (pir727 at hotmail dot com).
Greetings!

I Love Darren Hayes, I think he is very tallented but this double cd makes The Tention and the Spark Sound like a masterpiece. The intros to most of the songs are way to long. The electric sound is cold and the music to dark. The lyrics to personal so personal that sometimes you cant even relate to the songs.
I am sorry this cd is a total mess... maybe sing to me can go
Icegirl said on August 26, 2007 18:03:
Well I bought it yesterday I was curious being a double album to what the sound and quality was like... it’s not too bad so far!

I love the album but I don’t understand the song Bombs up on my face..
What did he try to do?
My favorite track is Sing to me, followed up by On the verbe...

Bought it finally, and I l-love it!!! :)
Bombs Up On My Face is very straight up in your face, it’s about today’s world, a very good and interesting track!
Good job, Darren!

the only track on the entire 2 cd set that has me listening is step into the light only because it’s kinda like an answer to the song darkness from his last album, otherwise they easily coulda skimmed this down to 1 disc
bunny2 said on October 12, 2007 21:00:
well, I can not say that much about the album yet since I did not hear it that often. It’s a hard listening album, I think. No easy tracks and melodies...I will see.

I,ve been a fan of his since the start, too! I was lucky enough to win to see him perform 6 or 9 songs from his debut album “Spin”. I won by fillin’ out an entry when I got that album! I got a phonecall at work from sony. It was so cool!! I didn’t meet him, though. Shame.

I used to love Savage Garden and was lucky enough to see them live after the 2nd album. Their CDs are two of the best albums of recent times, I hope some of the Savage magic can be recaptured for the latest solo relese.
